Rayne woke up to the sound of nothing. It was perfectly quiet and if not for the materials he had placed her earlier in anger, he would have assumed that this was his tiny cabin in the woods, but it wasn’t. He stretched and yawned looking to the makeshift bed, “What the hell are you even made of?! Clouds? What?” He giggled at his own joke. Before standing up and humming softly, the nap helped his mood, but only slightly. He jumped over the materials and looked back to them in disgust before shutting the closet door.
“So, you don’t like the gifts I gave you?” Amari’s deep thick voice asked as he looked slightly amused.
Rayne growled and looked to the alpha with hatred in his eyes. “Why would I like anything you give me?”
Amari chuckled, “I thought your nap would better your mood, I guess I was wrong.” He stood up and looked back at Rayne. “Are you hungry?”
Rayne looked away from the alpha, turning up his nose in disgust.
Amari sighed, “I do hope we get closer omega. After all, how will we have pups-”
Rayne growled and interrupted him. “If you think you can lay a single hand on me you will surely regret it.”
Amari smirked and crossed his arms. “Oh, will I?”
Rayne growled, “Yes. You will.”
Amari smiled and took a step back to show the fearsome omega in front of him that he was merely joking. Rayne rolled his eyes and crossed his arms realizing that he was still in the revealing white fabric. He began looking for something comfortable, something like sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt, but of course, that was something the alpha didn’t even consider.
It was then Rayne came to the conclusion that Amari was the worst type of vain, as he must have thought that because he was handsome his omega should look just as good.
Amari looked to the omega and spoke in a deep yet soft tone. “Do you want anything? Just ask and I’ll get it for you.”
Rayne almost growled as he slammed the dresser. Before his tone became soft, “I would like clothes… baggy shirts and sweatpants… something comfortable.” Rayne looked off into space, he knew he’d have to be slightly kinder to get the things he really needed as they were considered daily needs, but it didn’t sit well with him.
Amari smiled and nodded. “Then I shall fetch you some.” He walked closer to the omega and grabbed the omega’s delicate hand, surprised that it was so much smaller than his and paler as well. But he paid no mind to it as he kissed it gently, he smiled before the hand was ripped from his hand with a growl.
“Don’t touch me.” Amari looked to Rayne to see the absolute disgust that carved into his features as he held his hand away from the alpha.
Amari sighed but smiled to Rayne, “I’ll be back with your clothing.” He stood up and walked out of the room, almost groaning as his hand covered his face.
He desperately tried to follow his mother’s advice, even though it was a challenge for an alpha to hold back when their mate was standing in front of them, so vulnerable, so beautiful, so- Amari shook his head not allowing himself to think the last thought.
It was hard knowing that his omega hated him that much for no more reason than he had uprooted his life and practically turned it upside down.
Amari walked down the halls and grabbed his butler, it was times like these that he was thankful for having a butler who had worked in these chambers for longer than his life. "Do you know where my old clothes are?"
The Butler gave a soft old smile, "It should be in the childhood chambers."
Amari nodded and began to walk towards his old chambers, thinking about the small omega with an attitude that didn't match his appearance in any way shape, or form.
He stopped in front of his old chambers, looking to an old door decorated with stickers from all those who had grown up in the chambers, he awkwardly chuckled as he touched his sticker, funny or not he was obsessed with wolves as a child and was excited to shift one day. So when his parents asked 7-year-old him to put up a sticker that would forever represent his time as a child he didn't hesitate to grab his wolf sticker and place it on the door.
He smiled to the wolf howling at the moon with his mate and pups. He knew even back then that he wanted to have tons of pups, pups that would fill the halls with laughter and brighten up the place, as he knew that living in this place by your lonesome was the worst part of his whole childhood.
He shook the corny thoughts out of his head and opened the door, it was almost exactly the same, nothing was out of place from where it was last placed, although it was still cleaned by many maids and butlers to keep the room from gathering dust as he searched for his mate. He walked towards the wardrobe and opened the drawers finding his old baggy shirts and sweatpants from when he was 13.
Unlike his omega, he was rather large and for that reason was the size of an adult omega at age 13. He merely chuckled at this information before gathering the clothing and closing the drawers walking back to his omega's room.
He knocked on the door before walking into the room. Rayne was there sitting beside the window as he looked out to the village sniffling slightly as his gaze focused on something in particular, unbeknownst to Amari he had just found his sister walking down the streets of the alpha's village pacing before looking to the castle and turning. He cried as he watched his sister walk towards the way they entered the village. Amari watched and set down the clothing he had gotten before rushing to the omega's side.
"What is it? Whatever it is I'll fix it."
