Mia Cassidy is a high school student: a nerd, a nobody, and an antisocial girl with all the problems of normal high school life. She lacks self-esteem and confidence in every way of her proclaimed normal life. In school, she is bullied for being the geek with baggy attire and what- so-never teenage experience. Each day, it was like a battle for her life surviving the torments of her classmates, and just like previous days, she doesn't know how to cope with it. As this thing couldn't get any worse, her prodigal bully came into town, promising more hate and punishment to disrupt her already messed up life.

That was until, she came across a group of boys: Leonee Chen, Kai Masters, and Cameron Walter, eloquently

CHAPTER 1 (MOVING)
Moving was not easy. Not that no one said it was. Well, except for my overly confident aunt who assumed that 'you'll make new friends.' But what she didn't know was that I spent all my junior year trying to make new friends. And even then it was hard. I only had two friends so far. A pet hamster I named Chewie because he chewed on my thump once. He didn't stay with me, instead, he was at a local veterinarian shop where I used to volunteer. One day when I went there, he wasn't there anymore. I was told he choked on something he chewed off and died. My second and last friend wasn't as animated as chewie was: it was my only queen-sized bed. And it only moved when I jump on it after a tiring day of bullying. I've always struggled with making friends, that was not my fort because honestly, going out to the mall, shopping for stuff we have no real interest in trying on all the shades of Mayberry lipstick and picking up boys doesn't seem all that fun. Besides, what I did was considered normal. At least to me. There is nothing wrong with being curled up on your couch binge-watching your favorite series whilst eating ice cream and simultaneously crying your eyes out after watching your favorite character die for the eighteenth time. Maybe that's the reason why everyone assumed that I was weird which was...kinda true, and didn't want to hang around not be seen with me. I spent so much time alone, it deemed me awkward whenever I tried to speak to anyone. First, my tongue slips, probably uttering something I shouldn't, followed by the person's unsettling gaze, and then the conversation went downhill from thereon. Next thing you know, they are pushing you out the lunch line without even saying sorry like you're invisible. I guess that was one thing good about moving. A fresh start, no one would come to know about my past nerdy life. Unless my creepy behavior somehow flew back to Nashville with me. The plane landed at Tennessee international airport approximately four hours after taking off. The air felt unfamiliar, sweetly sick, and new. It was kind of suffocating to be honestly, it felt nothing like home. Not that it would, I will get used to it in a few months I suppose. A taxi driver held my name on a certain black card, I guess my aunt wouldn't be the one picking me up. I was moving in with my aunt, the sister of my mother. My mother got fired from her job and was broke, so she sent me to live with her elder sister. Just until she gets back her feet. As she said. On the way to aunt Catherina's place, the car had to stop an account for me, throwing up on the roadside. This was my first time flying, mom didn't have a lot of money to take us on an expensive travel vacation every summer. We were poor, and even with only one child, she still struggled to keep up. This was the only time I have traveled and it was not memorable whatsoever. After puking, I kept the window down in case of such repetition. I could help but took notice of the majestic ferns about 45 ft tall. They were so tall and beautiful. I already had my digital camera slung around my neck so I could take a few photos. To add to my album of course. Photography is the passion I discovered when I was ten, though it was nice to take a picture of an orange sky, I've never stopped since. ''Please keep your head inside the car at all times. We don't want you losing it. Mr. Scott, the driver warned, before taking off. ''Sorry,'' I mumbled while doing so. ''Teenagers.'' He grumbled, putting on a dark shade. ''Are we almost there?'' I asked. ''Two more hours to go,'' he grunted. I hold my hands up and shut my mouth. It seems he doesn't like me. What did I ever do to him? He's probably always been this grumpy. ''You'll know when we get there.'' He mumbled, almost apologetically. I smiled and leaned back into my seat, thinking about my aunt. I haven't seen her for so long. Last Christmas was the last time I saw her and she was in crouches. She visits us once a year during the season. I wonder if her condition had gotten any better. After a few hours of driving, we arrived at the place. I unclutched myself from the uncomfortable position and twisted my neck, back, up, and side to side. It hurt for a moment until I became accustomed to it. Only then I realized it was so late in the evening. The sun had set, giving off an orange luminous accent. My eyes cast themselves on Mr. Scott, who came out of the car and was talking to someone on the phone, an irritating look on his face. My eyes cast themselves unto the enormous house behind him and widened. ''Wow,'' I exclaimed before realizing it. I stepped out of the car and gawked.''This is my aunt's house? It's like a mansion.'' Mr. Scott scoffed, coming off the phone. ''Your aunt was married to a wealthy man, she got this in the divorce.'' I frowned at the way he spoke of them as he knew her personally. He probably did if he said that about her. The house that caught my eyes was beautiful, modern stylish with white-walled victorian. The walls were clean and slated The front porch was huge with numerous comfy-looking chairs, even a hammock on it. ''Wow,'' I repeated, slowly. ''Your aunt is waiting for you inside.'' Mr. Scott said making me turn my attention on him. ''I'll get your luggage. You can go inside.'' I said nothing but hummed in my chest before taking a deep breath, the ambiance of the surrounding ramming me into relaxation. Walking up to the front porch, I planted my hand on the doorknob. I turn around and my eyes cast themselves upon the neighboring house. It was huge but not quite as huge as my aunt. It was white with flowers surrounding it, I could see that they had recently bloomed. In the back of the yard was a tall big oak tree that made the house looked a lot smaller. It had dry, strippy branches extending out in all directions. It looked like the typical scary tree that has a meaning, somewhere and somehow to ancient uncivilized civilization. Ok, that was a reach. Turning the doorknob, I entered the house. My curious set of eyes wandering all over the place. Inside was just as beautiful as outside, if not, more luxurious and grand. Everything looked spotless. I heard a clank, I sprung around and standing there was a short plump woman wearing an enormous thick fur coat that made her look even fatter. On either side of her, crouches laid underneath her arms and at her foot, a shattered glass cup and brown water. She looked at me and smiled, eyes wrinkling. ''Would you get that for me, dear?''
