Chapter 11

Rowan's POV

It had been almost a month since the day Angelina was kidnapped. I have not given up on the search for her. Simon would cry himself to sleep every night in my arms. I have barely slept. This is the 18th search party I've sent out to find my mate, but still, they come back exhausted and empty handed. Simon and I can't feel anything from our mate. The last thing we had heard from her, was a weak connection through our bond. She yelled help to us, but when we got to her old house, no one was there but an unconscious human officer. He was of no help because he didn't see who or what hit him and he had only woken up in the hospital a few days after that.

I slammed my hand on the desk in front of me. It cracked under the force. I was having yet another meeting with the Alphas from the surrounding packs. "Tell me now!" I yelled at them. They flinched.

Since most of the packs around us had backed out of the alliance with us, they were reluctant to tell us anything. My father was hugging a crying Simon once again. These Alphas kept their mouths shut from the moment they entered my land. "Rowan." My wolf finally spoke for the first time in weeks.

"What is it?" I responded quickly, trying to calm myself down.

"Our mate... Her wolf was finally able to reach out to me.. the hobgoblins have her.. and... She's pregnant..." He sounded so broken as he said that. I felt my heart shatter. My mate, who was being held by the nasty f*****g goblins was now pregnant. "She's losing hope.." my wolf continued. "Her wolf told me that so many goblins have touched and raped her.... Please Rowan... We have to save her..." Hearing that my mate was raped and pregnant, pushed me over the edge. I growled harshly and flung the desk in front of me through the window to the office.

"I'm going to slaughter all of those filthy f*****g goblins!"

Angelina's POV

I laid there on the hard rock they called a bed. My body was battered and many parts were broken. I don't know how long it's been since that goblin kidnapped me, but I know it was long enough to break me. I prayed for death everyday. I knew I was pregnant. I knew it from the moment it happened. They kept me drugged so that I couldn't get away. But now that I had finally given up any hope of being saved, I just lay here on this rock, waiting for them to come back and rape me again and again and again.

"...lina... An...elina" I could feel my wolf trying to reach out to me.

I reached out to her with a lot of effort from the both of us. "Kate?" I called out to her.

"I'm here. Rowan and Simon are coming to get you. I could finally reach out to them. Please Angelina, just hold on they will be--" I felt a stab into my neck and lost connection with my wolf.

I looked up to see him standing beside me. He had a grin on his face. He must think he's still won, but he doesn't know that he was late in giving me the usual dose of wolfsbane. "No more talking to that wolf now, Pet. Don't need you trying to play any games." With that, he touched my belly. He knew that I was pregnant. He knew that the thing inside me was his too. "Don't worry, Pet. Once the baby is born, I'll end your life." He started walking away but stopped at the door. "Maybe." He smirked and left.

I had gotten used to the burning in my veins from the wolfsbane. I rolled to my side and allowed myself to slip into the darkness. Not like I could go anywhere. I was chained to this rock I called my bed.

I woke to loud screams and growling. I could smell wolves nearby. I must have been injected with another does, because the burn was stronger and the darkness was crawling back over me, taking me completely.

Simon's POV

Ever since Angelina was kidnapped, I felt like I was getting weaker and weaker. Every night I cried myself to sleep. Even now in this meeting, I am hugging and crying into Titus, my father in law. He was doing the best he could to calm me down, but Rowan's anger coursed through me and the lack of feeling from Angelina was breaking me bit by bit.

Rowan was yelling and demanding the Alphas to give him answers, but they were tight lipped. For a second, I felt Angelina's wolf, but it disappeared just as fast as I felt it. My heart shattered even more.

Rowan's growl and the office desk flying out the window made everyone freeze in terror. "I'm going to slaughter all of those filthy f*****g goblins!" Rowan yelled.

I watched him storm out of the office, barking orders the moment he stepped out. Quickly I ran out after him. "Rowan!" I called out and grabbed his hand. He spun around and looked at me. The look in his eyes made me let go and step back in fear.

I watched as hurt flashed through his eyes then he pulled me into a soft, but tight hug. He was shaking. I wrapped my arms around him, nuzzling into his chest. "The hobgoblins kidnapped her... They've been drugging and raping her.." Rowan sobbed into my neck. "She's pregnant with their kings child, Simon... They broke her... She's lost hope... "

I felt my heart plummet into my stomach. I broke into another fit of sobs with Rowan. How could this happen to us. Angelina needed us so badly and we couldn't find her. Now that we had help from her wolf, she tell us that she's broken and pregnant.

We stood there crying into each other for a few minutes before Rowan sniffled and straightened himself out. I was still a sobbing mess. "I'm going to go get her and slaughter each and every one of those vile creatures." I could tell he was determined.

I forced myself to stop crying and straighten up. "I'm coming too." My voice was weak, but still held determination.

Rowan looked at my softly. "Are you sure? You've lost a lot of weight and strength." I nodded. I wanted to be there to save my mate. "Okay. Stay close to me the whole time okay?" I nodded again.

Within an hour, we were standing in front of a cave covered in vines. No one would have known it was even here if it wasn't for Angelina's wolf telling Rowan's wolf. It was just outside the border. Rowan shifted to his wolf form and took off into the cave.

I went in last, knowing I wouldn't fair well in a fight right now due to the lack of eating and all the crying I've done. I was careful to keep to the side of the cave. I passed by an opening in the wall and felt a slight tug on the mate bond. I stopped and took a step back to the opening. I sniffled the air and smelled her sweet scent of cherry blossoms. Quickly I went in and followed her scent all the way to an open room.

There, to the left of the room, she laid naked on a large boulder that surpassed as a bed for her. I stepped closer to her. I could tell she was breathing. I carefully rolled her to her back. Her neck and arms were littered in bruises from needles. I swallow the lump in my throat and with what little energy I had stored up, I broke the chain around her ankle and took off out of the cave.

Once I was safely inside the territory, I opened my mind through the mate bond to Rowan. "I have her. I'm back in the territory. I'm taking her to the doctor now."

"I'll be there soon. Only a few of these f*****g filth left. One being the king."

I felt him close the link and I ran all way way to the doctor. "Help! Someone help!" I yelled. Two nurses and a doctor ran to me. The doctor took her from me and ran into a room with an empty bed.

Once she was on the bed I took her hand in mine. Her hands felt like ice and she was skin and bone. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked right at me. "Keep the goblin alive." She said before whatever was in her system took her into unconsciousness again.

I quickly opened my link to Rowan. "Angelina told me to keep the king alive. I think she wants to do something to him."

"What?!" Rowan growled harshly into the link.

"That's what she just said, the doctor heard her too."

I heard him growl in frustration. "Fine. But I plan to keep it chained in the smallest, most filthiest cell we have." With that he closed the link.
