All that week, Melinda had the hardest time concentrating, which is deadly when one teaches kindergarten. While the children pulled each other's hair and called names, she tried to force herself to maintain her grip on reality, her mind wanting to go back to the weekend she'd spent in bed with Jim… even to the point of sleeping over Saturday night.
