CHAPTER 6 When Alyssa woke up, Drew still sat beside her, on a chair with wooden arms and pink and green plaid upholstery. Or maybe he's back. How long have I been asleep? Must have been a while. My leg's hurting again. She glanced around the sterile white room with the cheap veneer table under the window, and the rolling hospital tray with an unappealing-smelling meal sitting beneath a plastic cover. She grimaced.
