Chapter 2

A sigh escapes my lips as I s***h a red mark on the number question a student of mine got wrong. I remove my thick black rimmed glasses and scrub my face with my free hand, thinking about my students. Some of them struggle so much, even with the helpful hints I give during class. I should hand them a card to the tutoring line on campus.

The door to my office opens, interrupting my thoughts. Schooling my features, I peer up to see Derek in his usual coaching attire. An orange and black striped hat, t-shirt, whistle and baggy shorts. Though, now he's sporting a beautiful tan from the tropical honeymoon that he and Scarlett went on for the last two weeks.

He's working toward being head coach of our beloved Tigers and what better way to do that than to be the assistant coach first?

"Knock much?" I asked dryly, placing my glasses back on my face. Derek grinned.

"What fun would that be?"

"What if I had a student in here?"

"Ooooh are you a naughty professor?" He wiggled his eyebrows and I rolled my eyes.

"No, that'd be completely inappropriate."

"Very true....I bet you roleplay with it though" he said as he sat on the corner of my desk. My eyes flickered quickly at his voluptuous ass, squishing against the flat surface, before looking back at his eyes.

"That's gonna be a no from me" I replied, capping my red marker.

"Pfft boring, I'd totally use the whole naughty professor in the bedroom....or out of it"

His words made my d**k take interest, picturing him as a student trying to earn extra credit by sucking my c**k. I mentally shook my thoughts away.

"To what do I owe the pleasure, Derek?"

"Can't I come see my brother after not seeing him for two weeks" he scoffed. "I mean I know you can go years without wanting to see me and the family but..." he trailed off. The dig at my absence throughout college, stung quite a bit, but he didn't realize I needed to be away. Away from him.

"Derek" I said with a sigh.

"Okay, okay. It's about Jared" he bit his lip.

Ahh, Jared Grand. "The Grand Catch" as they call him. As a freshman, he was already known as the college's star running back. He never let the ball slip from his fingers. There's no doubt about it that he's bound to be drafted to the NFL. However, his grade is slipping in my class and it just so happens that I was correcting his exam as Derek came in.

"I already have told my students that if they are struggling, to come to me for further assistance", I told him, knowing Jared's grade is what he's getting at.

"Calculus is the only class he's struggling with, but you know his scholarship will be void if he doesn't keep all his grades up" he replied with worry set in his tone.

I let out a big sigh "I don't want to make him feel like a failure, but I will have him come to my office tomorrow to talk to him about tutoring."

"Thanks bro" he smiled widely "We need him for a chance at the championships."

"Yes, I am well aware, but I can't force him to seek help" I reasoned.

"Coach already had a talk with him about the importance of getting it back up" he nodded. "Anyway, besides that, Sonia wants to have a family get together at their house for dinner today."

Sonia Hime is Audrey's girlfriend of four years. She's a beautiful Japanese woman who moved here four years ago. Audrey and her met through Rosalina. Sonia is a fellow tattoo artist that works at Rosalina's tattoo shop 'Picture Purrrfect'. Sonia has a badass biker aesthetic with black and white tattoos decorating her smooth skin, along with some lip and eyebrow piercings. A complete opposite of Audrey's very feminine, princess-like aesthetic. But you know what they always say, opposites attract.

"I wonder if she is proposing" I thoughtfully said.

"Oh, I'm sure that's the reason for the family gathering" Derek nodded and then silence filled my office besides the ticking of the clock hanging on the wall.

"Scar told me she mentioned trying the...uhm...threesome thing again with you" he mumbled out while rubbing his neck.

"She did, but if you're still not comfortable with another..well, with another man in the equation, it's completely fine" I replied with a shrug. "I also get that it could be weird for you being brothers and all," I also said, in case that was the reason as well. His face contorted with mixed emotions that I couldn't quite decipher.

"It's not that....it's..." he huffed out a breath "It's something Scar and I have talked about and I fully support her, which is why I don't mind doing it for her, because in the end we love each other, we chose each other but she wants something else permanent now" he looked me in the eyes "I trust you Deck, and you're the only one who I could continue to share her with moving forward." he finished.

My breath caught in my throat at the realization of his words.

She...well, they wanted me to be a permanent piece in their life.

"I....I..." I shook my head " I didn't realize that she wanted an ongoing thing". My face showed confusion. "But you guys are married."

Derek chuckled "Yes, Deck, we are married. We married each other because we're soulmates and even though polyamory is part of who she is, she chooses me until the very end", he explained. "Polyamory is just basically having love for more than one person."

"I know what polyamory is Derek, I'm not a Neanderthal" my brows furrowed "I just...I'm your brother. Wouldn't it look weird for your wife to be with me as well?"

He shrugged "It's nobody's business but ours. Plus, like Katherine always says 'It's okay to love both' " I rolled my eyes at his TVD reference.

"What would our family say?" I thought out loud. He gave me a deadpan stare.

"Our uncles are brothers and have been in a relationship, f*****g each other for two, almost three decades," he said flatly. "Not to mention our other uncles, Tanner and Charlie, are brothers," he pointed out. "If there was an issue, it'd be quite a hypocritical situation, don't you think?"

"Good point" I nodded, rubbing my temples with my fingers "Why didn't she say that she wanted more then?" I questioned.

"She didn't wanna freak you out by saying she wanted to have a throuple relationship with you at our wedding" he shrugged.

"I mean, mentioning she wanted another threesome at your wedding was still pretty shocking if you ask me" I told him and he let out a loud laugh, making me smile. I love his deep, genuine laugh. It makes my stomach flip.

"But what if she wants more women though? I mean she mentioned you having no problems with women through the years", I countered with concern.

"We'll cross that road when/if it comes to it" he replied easily. "The women in the past were just for fun, but she's been seeking a connection for an actual relationship. She hasn't connected with anyone besides you.....well, and maybe Kiernan, but she hasn't mentioned Kiernan again yet, but I felt something between them when we took her home from the bar that one night."

"You're a great partner" I said with admiration filling my voice. And it's not a lie. He loves and understands Scar so much that he is in it 10000000% with her.

A little jealousy crept into my chest, wishing I could have that from him.

"I'd do anything for her" he smiled his perfect smile. "So, what do you say? Would you want to try it out?" He asked, his beautiful hazel eyes wide with hope. How could I ever say no to the love of my life?

"We can try it out" I slowly agreed and his broad smile appeared again. "So how will this work?" I asked.

"I can let her know I talked to you about it because she wanted to make sure you knew I was on board with it and then she said to let her know and she'd get in touch with you about further details", he informed me while standing from his position on my desk.

"Alright" I said as he inched his way toward the door.

"Thanks Deck, for everything" he said as he turned toward me.

"Anything for my brother" I said with a tight smile, biting back saying anything for you. He gave me one last smile before disappearing from my office.

I took a minute to gaze at the door he left out before snapping out of my daydream and digging out the tutor line number to give to Jared tomorrow after class.

*Buzz Buzz* My phone vibrated on my desk, showing Scar calling me.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Declan!" She said in a chipper voice "DJ just told me the good news!"

I smiled "The man is quick", I commented.

"Not in all things" she said in a suggestive tone, ending with a giggle. He definitely is not quick in bed. I shiver at the mental image of being dicked down all night by him. Gosh, I feel like a horny teenager when it comes to him.

"How are you, Scar?" I shook out of my thoughts.

"I'm perfect. Since DJ has explained the situation, I was hoping we could set up a date."

"Okay, uh when were you thinking?" I ask as I finished grading the next and final exam in front of me.

"Either tonight or tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow would work better because Sonia invited the family over to their house" I replied, shutting down my computer.

"Oh! That's right, silly me. I forgot all about that. I swear I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached" she laughed. I smiled at her goofiness, she is quite adorable.

"Where do you want to go tomorrow then?" I asked her while packing up my satchel with tomorrow's lesson plan.

She made a humming sound before answering "Surprise me!"

"Will do, I'm just leaving work but I'll see you tonight then?"

"Yeppers! I have to finish up work myself. See you later Declan." she said before we ended the call.

After putting on my satchel, I exit my office and head home before heading over to Sonia and Audrey's house.

Currently, everyone is gathered at the large dining table at Audrey and Sonia's house. A constant in our family is large houses to accommodate family gatherings.

With dad as an architect he likes to build, build, build. Especially for his family. We will all have places within a ten-mile radius of each other. Rosalina and her husband, Duncan Hallows, have their house in the works at the moment and then Derek and Scar will get theirs after them. Why they wanted to wait to build their house, I have no idea.

Eventually, I'll get my house when I want to settle down. However, I don't even know when or if that will happen. Unrequited love sucks.

It was during dessert when Sonia stood and turned to my twin.

"Audrey, princess, my love, my moon and my stars...." Her sweet voice said as we all listened intently. "Ever since we started dating, when I looked at you, I could see forever in your eyes. I immediately knew you were my future. I cannot describe the way you make my heart sing" she smiled before kneeling on one knee and slipping a ring box from her cleavage. "Audrey Marie Castlerock, will you do me the greatest honor of becoming my wife?"

"Yes! A Thousand times yes!" She squealed, bouncing her knees impatiently as Sonia pushed the diamond ring on to her finger. Once the ring was settled, she attacked Sonia in the most hurtful looking squeeze of a hug. Our families clapped and awwwed as they shared a sweet kiss.

"Congrats sis!" I said as I got up and gave her a light hug after she pulled away from Sonia. Sonia's parents excitedly hugged their daughter and everyone slowly gathered around to say their congratulations.

"I'm gonna head home, early morning. I love you Aud" I gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you Declan, I love you too" she replied before turning to our mom and wrapping her in a big hug.

Before I could slip out the door, Scar caught my elbow.

"Disappearing already?" She teased.

"Early morning class, where is Derek?" I asked, scanning the crowd.

"Bathroom, so when will you be picking me up?" She smiled.

"Does 7pm work?"

"Excellent, DJ will be out with Duncan tomorrow night" she told me as Derek stepped up to us.

"Oh okay, cool cool" I nodded suddenly feeling awkward, making date plans with the love of my life's wife. "I'll see you tomorrow then" I gave a curt nod when she nodded. "Goodnight" I gave a smile to both before turning and heading to the door.

"Have a goodnight Deck!" Derek called after me and I raised a hand in acknowledgement, disappearing into the night.
