Their companies, Taylor Enterprises and Reed Industries, have been vying for dominance in the market for years. But when a chance encounter at a conference leads to a passionate one-night stand, the dynamics of their relationship change forever.

As James proposes a hostile takeover of Emily's company, their mutual attraction turns into a fiery battle of wits and wills. Emily is determined to protect her company and her independence, while James is convinced that acquiring her firm will strengthen his own position in the market. The tension between them is palpable, and their colleagues can't help but notice the sparks flying.

As the takeover battle heats up, Emily and James must navigate the complex web of corporate alliances, rivalries, and power struggles. They engage in a series of intense encounters, from heated boardroom battles to stolen moments of passion. But with each encounter, their attraction grows stronger, and their feelings become harder to ignore.

As the stakes rise, Emily and James must confront their own biases, fears, and insecurities. Will they find a way to reconcile their professional differences and rekindle their passion, or will their desire for control and power destroy their relationship before it even begins? Can they trust each other enough to take a chance on love, or will their fears and insecurities tear them apart?

With its witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and high-stakes drama, "Love in the Boardroom" is a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romance that explores the complexities of love, power, and ambition in the corporate world. As Emily and James navigate the cutthroat landscape of mergers and acquisitions, they must confront the ultimate question: can love conquer all, even in the boardroom?"

It was the toughest day of Emily Taylor's life and yes she was going to cool off at the five star bar she has never been to. At first, the day had looked normal when she opened her call siren eyes to the warm sunlight shining through her floor to ceiling windows. She had stretched enjoying the softness of her most exciting Egyptian cotton sheets. In fact, she had swung her legs over the sides of the bed with a big smile and placed her feet into her sleek red slippers. But, it was not everyday she had that smile on her face apparently, her company had just signed a contract with the Williams group. But, that is not all, she had ironed things out with Mason Williams and she had successfully made it clear that he was a great man but she would never be his second wife and he understood and agreed to just be friends. Her assistant, Rachel had programmed the coffee maker to start brewing at exactly 6AM. Rachel is the closest lady to email but not her best friend but she knew little things that made Emily's morning smoother. Emily had slipped into the plush robe and matched to the kitchen, poured herself a cup of coffee and added a dash of cream, just the way she liked it. The "Emily Taylor's" way. Her eyes scanned her phone screen, noting the usual morning briefings from her team, she was satisfied all was well. She spent thirty minutes meditating before she hit her private gym for a forty five minutes work out. After the workout, Emily showered and wore the kick ass navy blue blue business suit her stylist had picked the night before. Everything was okay until her dad showed up at her door step unannounced. Mr Taylor had always been gentle on Emily on matters involving getting married and she, building her own family the way she built Taylor Enterprises. After all, she was not getting younger. She was twenty five. But that morning, Mr. Taylor showed up to discuss she not having a choice but to marry billionaire's son, Austin Miller who had always showed interest in her. Emily knew she had no choice when her protest was futile. She was going to marry Austin Miller and she thought one thing was certain, a contract marriage or an arranged marriage. She never hated Austin until that morning. She thought he was too perfect for a man. Austin Miller had the perfect curved nose and eyes, a perfect height and a drop dead gorgeous abs, rich and clean always with the perfect haircut. Austin Miller was definitely her type but she did not just like him, he was weird. He stayed mostly abroad and rarely saw his family, everything in his house is green and he had no social media handle but one thing was clear to her, he lusted for her. His workers said he was cold, cared less about everything but women and he got everything he wanted either the easy or the hard way. He victims never escaped. He was living up to his nickname, The Green Devil and he was some sure going to marry Emily. The news had messed up with her mood so bad that it kind of ruined her chances with a potential investor. A little presentation flop making the investor pull out at the last minute after giving her concerns she thought were irrational. She had worked tirelessly to prepare for the meeting and the rejection stung. To make matters worse, Emily's CFO, James had delivered some grim news; their quarterly profit is slightly lower than projected. So yes, it was a real bad day for her. Emily's mind raced as she say down at the bar thinking about everything and she could not shake off the feeling she was cooked. As she poured herself another glass of Alcohol age said to herself, "Well, my life is a disaster." Martins Reed, billionaire CEO of Reed industries has just had the greatest day of his life and have decided to reward himself by spending the night with the baddest and cleanest woman in the whole New York City. He had just added a new French company to his group. Even he himself thought it was impossible but they turned out easier than he had thought. Martins Reed was the only real rival of Austin Miller and the public favored him more. The girls would not stop fishing over him whenever his face was on the Billboard of on their Television and phone screen. He was arguably the finest Bachelor in New York City but he was way cold than Austin Miller. People even thought he was secretly gay because they had no record of him being with a woman, unlike Austin who had a really long list. Rumors had it Austin changed women more than clothes. Martins was solo.
