That evening, Chris looked at himself in the mirror. It had been a long time since he had worn a suit.   “Kat, are you ready yet?” he called. “I won’t go if you don’t come, you know I hate these things?”   “I know you hate everything that has anything to do with the company” her voice came through the bedroom door “but this is a fundraiser and our mother taught us better than sulking away when we can do something good.”   “It’s still a gala.
