I've been driving for 4 hours before a feeling of dread washes over me. I pull over at the nearest hotel and get a room for a little while. before heading up I use their pay phone to call the number on the map. it rings 3 times before an older lady picks up. "hello?" she says sounding confused. "um yes hi I was wondering if you could help me my name is Lina and I'm looking for.." she cut me off before I could say anything further. "dear child I knew the moment I heard your voice who you were, is everything ok?" she asked as if she knew something was wrong. "No im sorry to call at this hour but my house was attacked. my mom told me to call this number and my grandmother would be able to help me. please I don't know where I'm at and I'm scared they are following me."
"calm down child tell me where you're staying and ill come get you, I can assure you that they won't know where you are as long as you don't use your powers. just stay Inside keep the curtains closed and what ever you do dont think about using your powers. without being able to control them it will send them in to a frenzy." "um ok, im at a hotel called Restinn. its off of highway 40 some where i dont know where though."
"its ok dear ill be there as soon as possible just hold tight and remember what i said." with that the call ended. I rush up to the room, close all the curtains and try to relax. after about 30 mins or so I drift off into a deep sleep.
..... Hello Princess... I hear someone say. I begin to look around but I'm not in the room, where am I. I ask myself. "Hello?" *silence*
"I know your there I just heard you." *more silence* I look around some more and see a figure standing about 10 feet away wearing a dark cloak. "I've been waiting for you my love" the figure says as I get closer. "who are you, and how do you know who I am, and more importantly your love?" I asked all at once. "Slow down beautiful one question at a time, im not going to hurt you, im merely introducing myself. "My name is Kade, we were betrothed at your birth ceremony when I was just 4, I've been watching over you since the fire and you were taken to the human side of the kingdom. I was in classes with you all throughout school, you may know me by Kaden." he says as I come to stand in front of him. he takes his hood off and I can see him clearly now. "why am I here?" I ask. "how did I get here?" "I summoned you because I couldn't bare to be away from you, I miss you dearly my love, I need your help. I don't have much time they are after me. the dark ones, they've turned me but it is your light that keeps me fighting to break the curse. find me and we will defeat them together." Kade says as I stare at his beautiful green eyes, why have I never noticed them before. I walk closer to where we are only inches apart and look deep into his eyes. he cups my face and sparks ignite within me, the warmth I feel from his touch is nothing like I've ever felt before. And before I have time to speak his lips are on mine moving passionately. Im so lost in the kiss that I don't even notice that I can no longer feel him.
A loud bang jolts me out of my sleep and I begin to look around. Im back in the hotel room but how, I don't know what just happened but I was freaking out. as I'm trying to wrap my head around what just happened *Bang* this time it was on my door I keep as still and quiet as possible. *Bang Bang Bang* "Lina open up its me" came a voice from the other side of the door. I slowly walk to the door and look trough the peep hole. there stood a woman early 70s with silver hair staring intently at the door. I slowly open it and she rushes in. "Grandmother?" I ask " yes child do hurry gather what you've brought we don't have much time we have to get you across the barrier. only there will you be safe." I watch as she grabs my things. She stops and looks at me. "what's wrong child?" she asks as she grabs my hands. "I don't know how to explain it... was I betrothed at my birth ceremony?" she looks at me fear in her eyes. "we must hurry child he ready knows where you are. we need to get you across the barrier he can't reach you there." "grandmother who is he?" "The Dark Prince my dear. you were betrothed to him at birth to bring peace but his father The Dark Lord had other plans. you see the night the fire broke out your parents were kidnapped and imprisoned in the dark realm. The Dark Lord stated that the only way he would release them is if you marry his son on your 21st birthday. after the marriage was complete you would then be forced into the darkness." A look of confusion appeared on my face. "but his eyes and his touch, the warmth, Grandmother I felt him and he didnt feel dark. I felt a spark." "come child we must go. we will continue this conversation later." and with that she shut the door and ushered me into her car.
