While it didn't shock her, Julie took it as a win. Especially if it meant she would no longer have to endure any more of their smarmy remarks.
"Thank you for apologizing," Julie finally answered magnanimously. "And I'm sorry for the things I said to you. They were extremely harsh."
Randall shook his head. "No, we deserved it. We were way out of line, and it was wrong. We absolutely deserved everything you said."
Flabbergasted, Julie wasn't sure exactly what to say and nervously shifted in her chair. She knew how to handle her typically disgusting cousins but not the humble and apologetic men in front of her.
"Let's just concentrate on having a great Christmas morning," Julie decided, brushing off any other uncomfortable apologies.
