Carlos interrupted with a quick bark of Spanish.
"What's he saying?" Shane demanded, catching the panicked tone of Carlos' words.
Evan held up his hand and had a quick back-and-forth with Carlos before finally answering Shane.
"He said if we know where the chip is, we need to hurry. The other half of their men are trying to find Julie," Evan explained to them; the dire warning in his voice was hard to ignore.
Shane stiffened as he felt all the blood drain from his face before settling into his gut to boil.
"What?"
"Clara... Clara told them where to find Julie and that it was hidden in a locket that she gave her... Clara sent the men after her own family in hopes of freeing herself," Evan responded.
The disbelief in Evan's voice was only rivaled by his fury.
