Nate 2

903 Words
Thank god.. The bell rang I said to myself, Mr. Bason's periods are over. I gathered my stuff and was trying to leave the class when Nate called me. "Hey! Sam..., Sam.. Wait. " I don't want to wait, coz I was afraid to talk with him. How can I forget the murderous look I was getting from Jason for a while. I don't need more trouble than I'm in, but I can't be so mean to him either since he hasn't done anything to me. He seems to be a sweet guy and he's handsome too. I just hold myself, for a second, with a confusing mind. "what to do Sam..think.. Think about it.though I'm not aware about Jason's unusual behavior and why he was sending deathly glares all this time. I was confused.. Confused by thinking about staying or leaving."I don't want to be a rude person by ignoring him. " You can't get into trouble by talking to a stranger. What if Jason goes home and punishes you? Or what if he tells those two devils, Alpha and Luna? "my inner voice started to warn me. But again how can I avoid Nate when he calls me in front of the whole class? He may think I'm such an arrogant bit*h, which I'm not. while I swayed with my own thoughts, he came closer to me with a huge grin. "Sam, I'm sorry if I'm troubling you since I'm new to this place I don't have much idea about the places here, will you show me around?" Nate said it with a nervous smile, which makes him more cute."Am I asking too much?" He asked with a concern look. This guy seems to be genuine and simple. And the way he asked, I couldn't refuse. Also, by helping him, I'm not breaking any laws or committing any kind of crime. It was just a help for another fellow student. "It's OK, Sam. Just help him. He seems to be a nice guy, not like Jason." My inner voice whispered. I said, "OK, there's nothing much, but I will give you a tour." His smile radiated a thousand watts of ecstasy, and I felt the same. I was ecstatic to think that even one individual could want to accept my assistance. It was fun to walk with Nate around the school. It was fun that I never had before because I hadn't a good friend in my entire life. I had friends when I was small, and one of the closest was Jason. He used to protect me at that time, but after my parents death, he changed completely. He became an enemy of mine. All this time if anyone tries to get close with me in college, Jason and his gang make sure that person will never look at my side again. I'm not blaming anyone, because that's not their fault. He's the Alpha's son, and he has the power. Also, most of the students in our college are his pack members. So anyone wouldn't want to make their Alpha angry. hanging out with Nate was a totally different experience, and it was so much fun. Though he stole most of the girl's attention along the way, he never focused on them. seems like he is much familiar with those attentions, so he really doesn't care. I showed him the main places that I thought he should be aware of, like the library, lab, office, and cafeteria. When we were passing the cafeteria, he said he wanted to have something since he skipped his breakfast and bought something for me too, though I said don't. ×**************************** Today was a busy day for the cafe. There were lots of customers, and we were tired of serving them continuously. My legs were hurting like hell, and some times I wondered whether my knees would break. Not that I could complain, because everyone is equally working. Since we had an extra crowd, I couldn't get off at the usual time, so as a support, I stayed a bit late. When I left the cafe, only I noticed how late it was. No time to worry, Sam. Hurry up. You have to go home. So I hurried to go. Near the bakery area, it was a bit crowded as usual because other shops were still open. so I didn't feel afraid. but when I turned to the path that led to the Alpha's house, it was deserted and slightly dark. Usually there are guards around the house, but to reach them, I have to walk a bit further. Chasing the slightly fearful thoughts from my mind, I continued to walk when I felt someone was following me. I turn to see, but there's no one. I stop for a while and gaze around the area, but there is no sign of anyone. Maybe it's just my imagination. Blaming my own wild thoughts, I continued to walk when I felt the same feeling again. I felt someone was watching me from far away, and my instinct kept yelling "danger," which I couldn't avoid. My heart rate increased, and I started to sweat like water. I stop and look back, but not a single soul is to be seen. Don't wait, Sam. Run. Run. Run. As fast as you can. My inner voice yelled at me. So without thinking twice, I ran to the house side.
