Ryan's POV I stood outside Diana's quarters, shifting my weight from one foot to the other like a nervous teenager. The woven basket in my hands felt heavier than it should, filled with rare herbs from the eastern territories, exotic fruits I'd had shipped in at great expense, and a bottle of honey wine that had cost more than I'd admit to anyone. The guards posted at her door, Lucian's men, not mine, regarded me with thinly veiled suspicion. "Alpha Stewart," one of them acknowledged stiffly. "Are you here to see the Healer again?"
