CHAPTER 10: The sentence. I fiddle with the pen in my hand while the professor goes over the lesson. No matter how hard I try, I just can’t focus. I missed my first class this morning, locked in a bathroom stall while tears fell uncontrollably. The rest of the day has been a blur—lunch tasted like nothing, and now, during my last class of the afternoon, all I want is to close my eyes and forget this day ever happened.
