The lamia squeezed Ezra with her tail, lifting him off the ground effortlessly like he was nothing more than a rag doll. Her additional limbs moved with terrifying speed, ready to strike in any direction. Her face was close to Ezra’s, her fangs dripping with dark venom that hissed as it hit the ground.
"Your blood will be delicious," she hissed, her voice as cold as the serpent she was.
“Let him go!” I yelled, feeling my inner wolf roar with a fury I couldn’t contain. Eva stirred in my mind, and before I could think twice, I let instinct take over.
