Chapter 19: Fire in the Night
Terry, the bartender with golden locks, and don’t-f**k-with-me cheekbones, isn’t one to smile. Not that he has to since he’s quite good looking. The twenty-three year old looks like a surfer: pierced eyebrow, golden brown suntan, glaring white teeth, slim build. As Jason scrutinizes his looks, he determines the kid is too young to be handsome, rather, boyish defines his looks. Instead, Jason churns adjectives between his temples like pretty, immature, innocent, and inexperienced.
Dillon bumps his elbow into his boyfriend’s and asks, “Are you in love with the boy behind the bar?”
Jason snaps out of his labeling world of a trance, blinks a number of times, and admits, “He’s far too young to be my type. I wonder where Gillian found the harmless queer.”
