I woke the next morning with the smell of bacon and eggs frying and a pot of coffee brewing. I looked around and noticed Tiny and Fran were still sleeping and I knew Laney would still be passed out so I eased up and walked around the corner sneaking into the kitchen, which I really wish I wouldn’t have.
My heart stopped yet again at the sight of none other than Jake and Eva standing at the kitchen stove and counter cooking together, they were completely lost in each other to realize I was standing there. I wanted to run and wrap my arms around them. I hadn’t seen my friends in two years, they must be together now, Eva looked like a young woman now and I could see no young girl traits about her anymore. Jake looked like a young man, no more boyish ways about him either.
