This city was massive. It had to be at least twice the size any city I had ever seen, and that, probably would be underestimating. Just like the other cities on Rho there was a bunch of these tall buildings that Walker called sky scrapers, and like the Ancient City of Rhodesia, it had pyramids. This city had two massive ones.
One I could see right in front of us. It was massive, it had to be twice the size of the pyramid back in the City of Rhodesia. It took was solid black. But this city was lit up by something. I looked around and saw that at the top of this massive pyramid was some massive glowing light that seemed to light up this entire city and nothing beyond the black gates.
I heard the black gates close behind us and gave a loud hiss when they did. Our escort raised his hand and motioned us to stay here and he flew off somewhere.
“What sort of technology is that?” Walker asked looking up at the massive light that was coming from on top of the pyramid.
I was a tad surprised by this as Walker had some semblance of knowledge about some of these things, but this thing, it looked like it was something that Walker had no idea about in anyways.
“It almost looks like a light house,” I suggested.
I had seen these things way back when I was on my home world. They were used to prevent boats from crashing onto the shore. However, this thing was about a hundred times bigger or maybe even bigger than even that than the light houses that I had seen. It was big enough that it was casting a massive star like light throughout this space.
“Look,” Walker said suddenly pointing to the air.
I followed where he was pointing and saw that that the creature was back. But this time it had a friend. It was a creature just like it, but it looked to be a bit smaller than it was, and it looked solid black, and it had gold eyes.
The black creature floated safely down to the ground and landed. This creature had this sort of majestic aurora to it. The way it carried itself, it was almost like the way that my father used to. It was like it was of royalty and it was showing it was of royalty.
The creature looked at Walker who quickly jumped behind me and then at me. The creature waved the other one that had escorted us here off and it flew away.
“I am called Montezuma,” the creature said.
“You can speak?” Walker asked.
“I learned your language Fakir,” the creature said. “Your race and ours have been co-habitants of this planets for countless centuries, I learned your language quite easily.”
“Why did you bring us here?” I asked.
“Because you would not haver survived in the dark world,” the creature said.
“So, you knew we appeared here?” I asked.
“I observed your transportation here,” the creature said. “You came from a moon that is called Rho, you come three years hence the appearance of the Dark Prince.”
“The Dark Prince?” I asked.
“I think he means Xavier,” Walker suggested.
“The one who stole our lord’s mask,” the creature said. “He came here, and nearly stole the power of our sun.”
“What happened to him?” Walker asked.
“He appeared one day about three years ago,” the creature said. “Like we did with you, we brought him hospitality. However, unlike you the Dark Prince was notably hostile. He and his follower killed many of my kind. It was the worst m******e since the Sun Eater came here.”
“The Sun Eater?” I asked, I felt like I knew of that somehow, I just could not remember how I knew about it. Maybe from Osiris? I tried to think about it, but I could not remember for the life of me.
“Where did the Dark Prince go from here?” Walker asked.
The creature began to tell us about what had happened about three years ago. Apparently two figures had appeared 2 years ago in the middle of the dark world as it was called. It was the first time anyone had come to the dark world in countless centuries.
Montezuma was the leader of the creatures called Shades, well that was what they called the males of the race. The females were called Kagezilten’ apparently. The day that these two figures appeared, Montezuma sent some escorts, as apparently it would get colder than it was now on this dark side of the planet. One could be completely frozen in this part of the world.
The figures turned out to be Xavier and an elite soldier named Nathanial Patil, who had a code name of the gorilla. Walker explained that he was the personal body guard of Xavier. When Xavier came to this city he proclaimed this territory to be under his rule.
The Shades did not take too kindly to this, an ensuing battle began. Xavier and this elite soldier named The Gorilla, had somehow defeated many of Montezuma’s men. Walker explained that this was because of the Gorilla, the Gorilla was an elite soldier, member of the Iron Hand, and within the Iron Hand he was probably one of the most skilled fighters, capable of fighting off people much larger than he was and thus he was given the codename of the Gorilla.
Xavier was no slouch either though, he had been trained by the Iron Hand, as he grew up. He was known to easily fend anyone who would otherwise defeat anyone. So together with Gorilla, they would be quite formidable.
However, that was when the creature started talking about what happened after Xavier had appeared.
“I had gathered my strongest men to challenge the Dark Prince, especially when he learned of the power of the Light of Orion that lights this very city.” The creature said. “But before he got a chance, these other beings appeared.”
“Other beings?” I asked immediately thinking of the lizard creatures.
“Yes, they were similar to your kind,” the creature pointed at Walker. “We thought they were allies of the dark prince because they came out of nowhere and they came looking for the Dark Prince.”
“They came looking for him?” Walker said.
“So that means someone knew they were coming here?” I said.
“I would think so,” the creature said.
“How is that possible?” I asked looking at Walker.
“I don’t know,” Walker said.
“Its all part of the great legend do you not know?” the creature said.
“Legend?” Walker said.
“Great more Legends,” I growled sounding annoyed. Even though I learned to respect the legends but the fact that the more we went through our journey the more legends seem to creep up was starting to annoy me. “Sorry if I seemed a bit annoyed by finding out about a legend. A legendary thing killed my friend, a legend got us here and now we have another legend.”
“I can understand you with that,” the creature said, and I looked at him strangely. “Allow me to explain. My peoples have had this legend for countless eons. About the platinum furred wolf with a small boy who would one day arrive to our planet.”
“Your kidding?” Walker said.
“Why does that not surprise me?” I asked.
Omniscience, I suddenly remember Hanuman saying.
“That son of a!!!” I said.
Walker and the creature looked at me strangely.
“Hanuman was the one that told you of the legend, didn’t he?” I asked.
“No, this is information that was once found in the Thoth Library,” the creature said. I looked over at Walker when the creature said that. First it was Osiris, then Anubis now Thoth? And if you put Hanuman into the mix that was four gods that turn out to be actual beings.
Thoth was the god of knowledge in some legends. The thought that there was a library called the Thoth Library this was new and interesting to me.
“What is this Thoth Library?” Walker asked before I got a chance to ask.
“My kind only know of it through myths, it is thought that the Thoth Library had everything recorded in it that had ever been recorded.” The creature said.
“Then how is it that you know of this legend?” I asked.
“Because fragments of the Toth Library have been found throughout the history of my kind.” The creature said. “One of which was inside the depths of this pyramid here.”
“Was?” Walker and I asked.
“That is what I started telling you,” the creature said.
“Shortly before we waged the final stand against the Dark Prince, they appeared.” The creature said.
The creature explained of the appearance of seven beings. Lead by a man with slimy hair that looked almost green hair.
