Naomi had been locked in the bathroom for two hours, and as easy as it would’ve been to pop the locked door, there was something about the silence and her refusal to answer that unsettled Cameron so much that he realized he couldn’t push.
He listened to her run a bath, and that was after she’d been in there for an hour. Not once during that time had she said one word to him, and he took in the diamond solitaire surrounded by an infinity design and more tiny diamonds, a one-of-a-kind ring he’d designed for her. Did she know? No, and he was fine with that.
