Sol's Pov
Sol stopped at a small creek to let her horse rest and replenish his energy. She had decided to call him Salvatorre after her father. She was famished, but still had a few rations left, which would hopefully last her until she reached the next town. They had been riding since the night before after she had been too careless and had been spotted by a few Helandrian guards at a tavern. She had quickly fled and had lost them quite quickly while going through the woods. Sol had been gone for three days and she had made it quite far, and her journey time would be cut almost in half, now that she had a horse. Though it would still take her just over a month to reach Salriane and warn the rebels what was happening and help them plan Helandrias downfall
Killian's Pov
Killian and his entourage had arrived at his smaller summer palace on their way to the closest neighboring kingdom about an hour ago. He had just received news that a girl with similar features to his sister had been spotted at a tavern in one of the merchant villages along the southern sea port, but the guards had lost her quickly, as she was on horseback. He felt sure it was her, because she was the only person he knew other than himself that could outrun his guards, who had been specially trained since birth.
"Brock!" he growled to his right hand man"yes, my lord?" "I want you, to personally find my sister. Take all of the men you need and take our fastest mounts. I do want her alive when she is returned though. Is that clear?" "yes your majesty."
Brock's Pov
Brock hated Sol. He had never hated anyone more than her. He wanted to kill her himself, and how he wanted. He had already planned on Killian telling him not to kill her, he'd already planned that part out, that a guard had used a crossbow to slow her down and had accidentally hit her incorrectly, she had died within minutes and they had done everything to save her. While in reality he was going to catch her somehow and torture and kill her himself, how he wanted. He smiled to himself and ordered his men to saddle up and head to the coast to find this stupid girl.
Sol's Pov
Sol had decided it wasn't safe enough to stay at another inn or tavern and stayed in the forest. She had snatched a small tent once she'd reached the next town and refilled her supplies, she then got out of there as quickly as possible, for fear of being spotted.
Sol was just settling down for the night when she suddenly heard Salvatorre start stamping his feet and snorting. She rushed out of her tent to see what was going on, but nothing seemed amiss. "Shhh it's ok buddy" she murmured to him and lightly stroked his chestnut coat. Suddenly a branch snapped. Salvatorre's ears shot up and his nostrils flared. Sol froze and slowly backed towards her tent. She had also grabbed at couple of daggers in town, and hoped to get to them before whatever was in the woods got to her.
