I missed the little chats we have in our secret closet. “I see we are back to normal”? ; Aunt D and the guards chuckled, dad says as he hugs us and perks Tina. Dad looks more pale than his usual self. Maybe he needs some rest. Tina Pov “Tina, Tina”, I hear Amira through the echoes of the hallways and the sound of her heals each step. I was done, just needed a little good luck perfume I call it. It was gifted to me on my 20th birthday by our mom through my dad. I still miss her. I meet Amira at the stairs; looking as pretty as ever, she’s in a backless brown draped neck hem mini dress. As I reached for the glass of water for her, she reached out too and our hands brushed each other, making us look at each other as we grabbed the glass of water. Tina Pov As we drive into the garden I see two guards limping in the dark, who must have been injured from their intense training. Amira goes straight to her room while I go to meet dad at the study room. “ Dad, you said you wouldn’t miss the birthday dinner, why didn’t you make it?” . He avoided my eyes and focused on a strange computer, as if he was looking for some important information from it. “I’m sorry darling, let’s talk about it tomorrow “. I nod and head to my room since it was past 11:00 pm. I hear shots coming from the hallway and Tina calling out to Dad. The door swung open causing a loud bang and making me almost trip on the staircase. My legs fail me at the sight before me. “Dad….Dad…Wake up, Dad…. Tina, dad isn’t moving”, my sister’s voice echoes through the hallway while dad’s lifeless body is in his own pool of blood. Her gaze on his lifeless body, Tina stood still in her own trance, till she heard her sister’s screams again.
