Winnie ran all the way home and stopped by the abandoned duplex in her street, she sat by the staircase breathing heavily
“f**k this!” she yelled, “f**k all of this, I’m f*****g losing my mind” she yelled as she threw stone at the tree in front of her.
She cried and pulled her hair, she wiped her face and brought out her phone
“Call Wendy” she said to her siri, “calling Wendy” the robotic voice said,
“Winnie” Wendy picked up, “Wendy” she said as she sniffled
“Where are you? , after school you just vanished, we’ve been looking all over for you” Wendy said , “I’m sorry, can I just sleep over at your house tonight?” She got up and dusted her shorts
“sure sure” Wendy said , “okay, see you in a bit” she hung up and let out a deep breath.
She started walking and when she got to the main road, she saw an old lady trying to cross with a bag of groceries; she crossed and helped the old lady cross the street.
“Thank you child” The old lady smiled and she was missing a few teeth, Winnie nodded and was about boarding a taxi when the woman called her back
“What’s the name?” the lady asked, “Winnie” she smiled
“you are in danger Winnie, all of you” The woman said and walked away leaving Winnie confused, she shook her head and turned to board a taxi, she turned back to look at the woman, and the woman was standing, staring at her.
She quickly stopped a taxi and got in.
