Chapter 60

Desiree’s POV

I wake up in a lush garden with beautiful flowers and trees that seem extra vibrant. There are three women standing over me, smiling down at me.

“What is going on?”

“Hi Desiree. We need you to wake up. There is a lot we need to discuss and not a lot of time. My name is Selene, I am the Moon Goddess. She is Hecate, she is the Goddess of witchcraft and Athena the Goddess of War. Athena represents her mom, Hera. Hera is the Goddess of Women. We are the goddesses that blessed you

“WHAT?? Where am I?” I question

“Hi Desiree. We bought you here to talk to you. We are the Goddess that kissed you at birth”

“How did I get here? Wait, someone drugged me”

“Yes, you have been drugged, and it is supposed to put you to sleep and separate you from your wolf” Hecate says

“Oh, My Goddess, Celestia, is she okay? If they hurt my wolf, someone is going to die” I say angrily

“Celestia is okay Desiree”, Selene says with a smile as a pure white wolf walks up to her

“Celestia?” I question and run to hug her

“I am so sorry. Are you okay? If they hurt you…” I question

“She is okay Desiree. It pleases me to see how you care for your wolf. If you and Celestia were a normal pair, then the drugs they gave you would have put you to sleep and cut you off from Celestia. But you two are special. We allowed the drugs to work so we could get you here and talk to you”, Selene says

“So, we are, okay? And the drugs didn’t hurt us?”

“No, it didn’t hurt you. Desiree, you and Celestia are special. You are the first hybrid with a gift from both your species. Other hybrids are only given abilities from one species. For example, you would either be a witch or a wolf, but not both. Even your wolf is special, Celestia is a warrior. She holds the same elemental powers, time powers and strength you do. You are both immune to silver. Wolfsbane and belladonna will make you sick, but you process the drug quickly so it will not hurt you. Because your witch powers belong to you and Celestia, no spell can bind them. So no one can make you powerless. You have extra strength and speed along with the powers you have already discovered. Your mind/memory reading is now advanced, since you marked your mates. Before you were able to see fragmented memories, now you can enter others' minds and see their memories as if you were there. Along with the ability to dreamwalk. Only you have this power though, not Celestia” Athena says

“What is the threat that requires us to have such abilities? So far, I’ve only had to deal with mate issues” I say shaking my head

“Unfortunately, the Wizard who initiated and paid Alpha Nicholas to kidnap your mom is still after you. His name is Herbert, but he goes by The Master. He discovered the prophecy of the first dual hybrid. The prophecy talks about the strength you would possess and that could be wielded for bad or good. He chose your mother because of her power, and because he was infatuated with her” Hecate says

“So, he knew her before all this happened?”

“Yes, they were raised in the same coven. She was nice to him, but he wanted more. He wanted her as his beloved. Herbert was unknown in the coven. He feels overlooked and dejected. He is not very powerful and has become vengeful because of this. His original plan was to have you created, raise you and use you for your power to bring him more power and control. But your mom got away. We think now he wants to absorb your powers. The other option is to either manipulate you or destroy you. He wants power; he will use you to get it or eliminate you to prevent you from stopping him. Your power is for you. You can’t share it or give it away. There is no way to remove your powers.” Hecate continues

“Defeating Herbert will not be your big challenge. Herbert is being manipulated by a powerful dream demon. Herbert has been given the ability to alter people’s dreams. He can’t put you to sleep, but he can alter what you see in your dreams. Their objective is to get women to give them their souls. They can scare and intimidate in dreams, but they can’t take the soul without permission. So they have been manipulating dreams so that you think you are giving permission to something else but are giving away your soul” Athena says

“Why only women?”

“The essence of a woman is more powerful. They bear and deliver life. They are known for their inner strength. Men are known for physical strength. The consumption of any soul gives him power, but it has been discovered that a woman’s essence yields the demon more strength. If he consumes enough souls, he will be unstoppable” Athena says

“We bought you here, Desiree, to make you aware of the threat, and to inform you of your powers. It is very important you continue training and developing your powers and strength. Soon you won’t have to chant spells but be able to perform them from thought. Remember, this enemy attacks you in your dreams. We can’t stop his power, but his hold on you will not be like on others. Rely on your powers and you will not be manipulated by him. You will be waking up soon, and you will have to fight with the person who took you. Good luck my warrior. I am so proud of you!” Hecate says

“We probably will not see you again, but believe in your strengths and abilities. You are a strong, caring and powerful person. Save, support and guide our future warriors. We chose well. You are a beautiful soul; stay that way”, Athens says with a smile

“Desiree, you have shown us that we made the right decision in choosing you as our warrior. You are fair and diplomatic but willing to make the hard choices when necessary. We know you have been through a lot and there is a lot more to come. We have given you all you need to defeat The Master, and to protect yourself. Unfortunately, for powerful beings like yourself, there will always be someone who wants to use you or take advantage of you. You stay aware, trust your wolf and the close circle of family and friends you have established. We trust you and are very proud of you. Oh, and be patient with those mates of yours. They love you but need someone to keep them in check. You are doing a great job, but I know it can be tiring. Don’t give up on them” Selene said

I smile and the garden and goddesses start to fade from the vision. I hear voices as I start to wake up

“It has been hours. Why hasn’t she woken up? What was in that poison you gave me? Did it hurt her?” I heard a voice ask

“Listen Paul, you asked for my help to get her. I helped you. I don’t know why you are going through all of this for her anyway” I heard a female voice

“Celestia, are you there? Are you okay” I ask

“I’m here Desiree, a little groggy but getting stronger. I should be ready to tear these fuckers apart in about 15 minutes” she responds

“Sounds good. I’m going to make my presence known. By the time I get him to tell me what the hell is going on, we can get out of here”

I slowly started to moan and open my eyes. I notice my hands are cuffed to a bed, making it difficult to move. Conveniently, my ankles are not cuffed, and both my hands are cuffed to the left side and the chain is about two feet. So, I can move my body. I move my body, getting out the kinks and sit up. I cross my legs and stare at my abductors, Paul and his mother.

“Oh goddess, are you okay? We didn’t intend to hurt you” he says, coming towards me. I glare at him and he starts to back up

“What did you give me?” I question

“Desi, I just wanted to have a chance to talk to you. To show you that I’m the man you should be with” Paul says. His mother sits in the corner rolling her eyes at her son

“What did you give me?” I question again

“Don’t worry, the drugs will wear off soon. We will stay here until we figure out our relationship, then we can get rid of those marks” he says happily

“WHAT THE f**k DID YOU GIVE ME PAUL” I yell

“There was belladonna in the cherry sauce from dessert. Once you went upstairs and were sleeping, I injected you with wolfsbane. This way we could spend time together without your wolf. You know you are a powerful witch; you don’t need a wolf. We can suppress it” he suggests

“You do understand that my family and mates will be looking for you”

“They won’t find us. We portaled you away and put a spell on the area. You will be mine forever” he came to the bed and sat down

“You are f*****g delusional. I don’t want you! I will never be with you. I don’t even know why you are acting like this. We never even had s*x. You know nothing about me. Your arrogant ass spent all our time together talking about yourself. Then you plan this like I’m important to you. You hit me! I can never be with a man who puts his hands on me. Now I am going to give you a chance to correct your actions. Uncuff me and let me go home”

“I can’t do that. You are mine. I love you” he says, trying to touch me

“Don’t touch me! You drugged me and portaled me from my home. Are we even still in New Orleans? Don’t tell me you love me and treat me like this. This is unacceptable, and no one who loves someone would ever do this” I say to him with a glare. I am also reading him, and I discover I am in Piney Woods, TX

“And what about you? You agree with this plan?” I ask his mom

“No, I think he is too good for you, and you are not worth the effort” Linda says

“Then why are you helping him do this?” I ask

“He’s, my son. It is my job to get him what he wants” she says

“And that is why he is acting this way. Like a petulant child. You may want to say NO to him more often. He can’t always have things his way”, I say staring at her and watching him pout

“This is my last warning. Let me go, or I will kill you both” I say without emotion
