Anthony’s POV
I am so glad Desiree is okay. Based on the information I received, she really was in no danger. They were out skilled, and they would never have gotten her. The fact that Mary and Renatta are hurt has all of our blood boiling. I know they will get better, but they should never have been put in that situation at all. Now that Desiree knows who’s involved, she will want Alpha Teddy’s head on a stick. I can’t blame her, but the council is very hard to convince when it comes to disciplining or challenging an Alpha. We head to the office to talk to Dad about what we discovered and to see if we have a meeting to speak to the council.
We enter the office. The other current and future ranked members are there. We update them on Mary and Renatta. We inform them about the interrogations and what they said
“Alpha Teddy? But why? He rejected her” Mom questions
“Maybe regretting his decision. Since he rejected Desiree, he has seen her use her powers three times, fight and defeat Tina, and he knows Tina lied about things she accused Desiree of. Maybe he wants her back” Dad says
Growls erupt from Me, Antoine, Wesley and David
“Simon also mentioned him working with a warlock. Maybe he’s working to get you for The Master” Dad says
At that time the phone rings
“Alpha Trevor, this is Elder Edwards. We received your urgent request for a meeting. I have five other elders on the line to discuss your issue” he greets
“Elder Edwards; we had an incident occur this morning. Rogues were hired to attack our pack members while out shopping. The future Luna was the target, and they were going to kidnap her. There were other members of the pack and other supernatural species also present and put in danger. This includes the coven mother of one of the largest witch covens in New Orleans, my mate and Luna, the Beloved of Warren Trudeau, leader of a large vampire clan. And our future Luna’s adopted mother, who is human. Her human mother was injured from the blast, causing extensive damage including a hemothorax, dislocated shoulder, cracked ribs, and swelling on the brain. She is currently in a coma from the incident. Also, Warren Trudeau’s beloved suffered a concussion and is also in a coma.”
“Are you aware of who hired the rogues?”
“Yes, it was Alpha Teddy Turner of the Eclipsed Moon pack. We have interrogated our prisoners and have received confirmation of the set-up and attack being initiated and planned by Alpha Teddy”
“Alpha Trevor, it is very serious to accuse a sitting Alpha. Why would Alpha Teddy do this” he questioned
“We don’t know. Our conclusion is that he wants Desiree back. They were mates and he rejected her. We also received a call from his Gamma that he is working with a warlock. If you are not aware, our future Luna is a wolf of prophecy and is being threatened and hunted by a warlock”
“Please forward your reports for us to review. We will get back to you with an answer”
“Elder Edwards, I understand you have processes, but the situation is quite urgent” Alpha Trevor comments
“Alpha Trevor, your accusations include participation of a sitting Alpha. We must follow all protocols. Thus, we will have a conclusion in the near future” he replies
“Elder Edwards, this is Desiree Stone, the future Luna of Crescent Lake pack. My human mother is sitting in a hospital bed in a coma and fluid on her brain because this alpha you are trying to protect hired rogues, bought them onto his territory, putting his people in harm, and then attacked me. This is also the same man who forcefully took my virginity and then rejected me. In addition, my stepfather is enraged because his wife is in a coma from this attack. Once he is made aware that an Alpha planned and initiated this attack that caused his wife’s injuries and was attempting to kidnap his stepdaughter, what do you think he will do? Now do what you have to do, but be prepared to receive calls from the Wiccan Kingdom along with the Vampire Kingdom. When two high ranking members are threatened they will be expecting action. I am going to Eclipsed Moon pack tonight. If you wish to be there, I advise you to hurry up"
“Luna Desiree, you can’t go get revenge on another Alpha” he says
“Yes, I can. The law says I have to inform you of the situation and provide evidence. It does not say I have to wait, nor go along with your recommendation for punishment. Attacking a Luna; future, current or past, comes with the punishment of death. I will meet you at Eclipsed Moon” she said, and hung up
“That was recorded, right?” she asked Dad
“Yes, and I recorded Simon’s message”
“I am going to Eclipsed Moon. I don’t want this to be a declaration of war, so I don’t think we should bring a bunch of warriors, but I am going”
“Do you think that is the wisest decision?” Dad asked her
“He hurt my mothers. It is my only decision” she responded, with the red glow starting to form
“We are going too” Leticia said, with Sharon, Cora and Paulette agreeing,
“Well, I guess we’re going. Because we are not letting our mates walk into danger without us” Wesley said
“Where Desi goes, we go” Antoine says
“Desi, we understand and agree with your decision. I was just playing a little devil’s advocate” dad says
Mom and the other women gather around our mates and hug them. They give them their support and promise to look after Desi’s parents. I go check on my parents and tell them what’s going on. Warren puts a call in to the Vampire King and tells him what happened. He plans to reach out to the Werewolf King and the council. We go to get changed and leave for the Eclipsed Moon Pack. It is about a 3–4-hour drive
