Chapter Four: Learning first before Arth’s inevitable death. — Third Person’s Point of View Leonardo saw the pleading in Arth’s eyes. “Okay,” He sighed, not entirely sure why he succumbed to the idea of telling a person who was bound to die later on. Maybe because he thought of her sister back in the Mortal Realm which made him eventually compassionate to Arth. Because in a way, Leonardo sees his sister at Arth. Damn, how he misses his little sister and his entire family. On the other hand, Arth felt like she can surely trust this man before her. He offered a drink to her when no one did. Aside from that there was no judgment in his eyes whenever he looked at her. Trusting this man could also make him gain an ally. And by the looks of it, this man is strong enough like her personal knight. If she would ever execute an escape plan, of course she needed help. “I have been here for a month.” He began, his voice low as if not other juice banks inside the room already knew of that fact. Arth nodded in her seat, listening intently to what Leonardo was about to say. Although inside her head she wanted to know everything about Prince Jaeden before she met her. In a way, she wanted to know if she has a way out to all of this bizarre mess. The moment that she ended up meeting her master or before she could even meet him, she wanted to lay out an escape plan and to go back to Zeindall Kingdom. Obviously, she did not belong here… in any way possible. She should not be a juice bank for vampires and she should not die. Arth still wanted to live further on and did not want to die just because a f*****g vampire drained out her blood. When Arth heard that statement from Leonardo, her face morphed into confusion. Remembering the stories that Minari told her earlier, it is most likely that a juice bank ends up being dead in just a day. If they are lucky enough, they can last up to one week only. However, Leonardo has been a juice bank for a month already. The sudden news made Arth’s ears perk up. If Leonardo managed to survive that long, Arth is sure as hell that she can do it too.. or better yet, surpass that. “B-but how?” She quickly interjected before Leonardo could even formulate another word. Arth becomes impatient despite only asking a favor from the man. Much so, when he basically does not owe her anything. “I was told that a juice bank lasts no longer than a week. Bloody hell, I am being told by everyone that today is my last day here… wherever this is!” Arth continued to blabber on, even showing much enthusiasm and frustration while with some hand motions from her. Instead of feeling offended that Arth cut him off, Leonardo was suppressing the smile that wanted to flash on his face. This woman in front of her had so many similarities with his younger sister, in a way it made him feel comforted without Arth even being aware of it. “Easy there, kiddo.” He mumbled, using the endearment that he had always used for his little sister. “We can tackle everything slowly. The meeting held by the Vampire Court might last for more than an hour or so. You still have a lot of time left.” Leonardo stated, a soft grin etched on his good looking face. If Arth did not have every ounce of patience left, she would have ended up punching this man on the arm. But obviously, she can not do that since she just met him. “Wow! I did not know an hour or so is long enough for you.” Arth mockingly retorted. Getting offended by the way Leonardo had been implying that she was going to die every now and then. “I already got the memo, no need to rub it in my face.” She added, pertaining to the inevitable death that she was about to experience in much less than two hours. Leonardo had the audacity to laugh. “Every passing minute is important here, kiddo.” With all of the bizarre things that had happened to Arth today, this man before her was currently laughing at her situation. When Leonardo noticed the fueling annoyance in Arth’s face, he quickly stopped from laughing. “I am sorry. You just remind me of my sister.” He informed her, voice in a lower octave. That alone was a hint for Arth, meaning that Leonardo’s sister was not here and he also had been abducted or kidnapped to be a juice bank for royal vampires. After a whole minute, Leonardo began to talk again. “Your time here actually depends on your master.” He started, searching for Arth’s eyes and as their eyes met he immediately noticed the look of determination in her eyes. Something that he has not seen in a lot of juice banks before. So he continued, fueling that determination. “If you are lucky enough, your vampire master does not drain your blood in just a day. Instead they only drink from you whenever they please or whenever their body needs it. In my case, Master Princess Dvan only drinks as she pleases. Hence, I was able to last for a month.” Arth nodded, taking in the information. However, it seemed to be not good news for her. Since her vampire master was known to be the scariest of all here in Vladyn Kingdom. Her shoulders slumped down upon, “Seems like I will really die today and there is no way out of this.” Leonardo did not want to sugarcoat things for her, most especially when he knew how cruel and evil Prince Jaeden is. “If only he was not your master, I guess you could still last like I do.” He commented, voice laced with pity as he looked at Arth. In a way, if his little sister was in her position, he would not know how to react either. So partly, it was a good thing that he was the one harvested and not his little sister. “Have you tried escaping from this place?” Arth suddenly asked, pulling Leonardo from his trance. He gulped, “I did… but this place is heavily guarded.” “Before I got here, I came from the dungeon and on the way to this castle; there was no one in the place. It is also so silent.” Kara informed him., remembering how eerie the place looked. Not only was it so dark and misty outside, there was also no hint of other humans or vampires lingering by. “Vampires are the creatures of the night, kiddo. Hiding in plain sight is one thing that they are good at. Escaping here?” He paused, eyes stuck to Arth. “There is no chance. You can never escape this place.”
