Chapter Three: Someone she can trust? — Third Person’s Point of View “You can eat anything. It is not poisoned.” The voice made Arth turn around ever so quickly. As soon as she saw the person who uttered such words, she was stunned. A woman who seemed to look like she was in her mid-twenties had an unreadable expression on her face. Which was ironic since Arth definitely heard that her voice was cunningly sweet. Obviously, the way the woman was looking at Arth threw her off causing her to stay silent for a while. Taking a good look at the woman in front of her, Arth took note of the fact that this one looked more like a human than those that she had seen at the dungeon. Despite the unreadable expression on her face, she rather looked radiant and vibrant. Maybe it has something to do with the food that she was eating, making her look livelier than the juice banks in the dungeon. When Arth has not said anything for a full three minute mark, the woman continued. “Oh, I am not a vampire.” She paused and then eyed Arth from her head to the shoes that she was wearing. A smirk etched on her lips but instantly vanished as though she was partly mocking Arth. “Just like you I am also a juice bank… but it seems like I am way better.” She whispered the latter part so that Arth would not hear anymore of it. However, Arth already dealt with countless two-faced bitches back in Zeindall Kingdom to take a hint that this woman before her does not like her in any way. Not that she thought of befriending her anyway. Arth seemed to know whether a person has good intentions towards her or an ill intent whenever they talk to her. A full 20 years in House Wfauzhle taught her that. She always had her ways when dealing with those kinds of people. Arth was not afraid to show them her true colors. Not because she was raised rudely but because she was not fond of pretending to like other people when in truth, she does not. Which is also a reason why there are others who hated her. So without even saying any reply, she walked past the woman who was left with a shocked and offended look on her face. If Arth is going to die today, might as well not suck up to someone unworthy of her attention. “f*****g b***h,” The woman snarled at her but Arth still chose not to give her the satisfaction by answering her immaturity. The moment she walked past her, Arth noticed that she was not alone inside the lobby. More people began to emerge and there were like dozens of so-called juice banks eating and lingering by the room. And just like the woman earlier, all had a different aura than those who were at the dungeon. Even their clothes were different from what Arth was wearing. All of them seemed to be wearing more semi-casual clothes rather than the villager clothes that she was wearing. Most of them were looking at her as she passed by numerous people in the room, the moment she reached a connecting path to another room and saw an empty seat at the sofa; she lunged at it without taking a look at anyone in the room. As soon as she plopped down her butt on the soft cushion, a glass of juice was offered before her eyes. Shifting her eyes to who dared to invade her space, Arth’s brows immediately furrowed together. “Take it, you seem dehydrated.” It took good self-control for Arth not to scoff at the words. “I am good, thank you.” She quickly rejected it. Taking a good look at the owner of the glass who seemed to not be withdrawing the glass, Arth noticed that the man in front of her had a smile on his face and it seemed genuine enough. His eyes were shaped as doe, nose structured pointy, a sharp jawline, plump lips, and a large build. Thinking that he would not quickly drop the topic or withdraw the glass, Arth took it from his hands. “Thank you.” The man shook his head sideways, “No need. You should eat other foods too. The moment your master drinks blood from you, you will definitely feel exhausted and hungry.” He implied, a worried look etched on his face. In a jiffy, Arth immediately thought of her brothers and how they had always been caring of her. A tinge of pain surges his heart. Arth missed them right now and could not bear the time that she is away from them. All of her brothers always made sure that she was being taken care of and that she was always safe. Now she is in a place where no one would take care of her. There are days when Arth is independent but there are also days that she is being babied by her family since she is the youngest and first born daughter. Clearing his throat, the man spoke. “Uhm, I have not formally introduced myself yet.” He palmed his hands on his slacks, removing any dirt or sweat from it. “I am Leonardo Pierre. You can address me as Leo.” He then offered his hands to Arth. A feeling of familial love surges through Arth as she reaches for his hand. “I am Prin—Arth Margaux Wfauzhle. You can call me Arth.” They both shook hands together as a soft smile was plastered on Arth’s lips. “My master is Princess Dvan. And yours?” Leonardo questioned, eyes glued to Arth’s face. Then noticed the discomfort on her face when he had suddenly brought up the conversation. “Oh, you do not have to say it if you are not comfortable.” He quickly added. However, Arth took in a deep breath then answered. “My master is Prince Jaeden.” Leonardo’s face contorted into a shock expression which made Arth uneasy. “The Demon Prince?” He inquired, then frowned as if feeling bad for Arth. “Well, it was nice meeting you today, Arth. I hope you eat anything.” He was about to stand up when Arth stopped him. “Wait,” She quickly yelled, causing others to whip their heads in their direction. “What is it?” Arth gulped, “Can you tell me more about the Vampire Prince Jaeden Kingston?” She softly whispered but enough for Leonardo to hear. “So it is your first time, huh?” Leonardo asked. Nodding her head, Arth answered. “Yes, I just suddenly woke up in a dungeon cell and I was being dragged to Prince Jaeden’s room.” Leonardo sighed, “Do you really want to know? You will eventually die anyway.” In an instant, Arth suddenly felt rage. She did not like it when people belittle her. But she pushed down the emotions and then replied. “Please, tell me everything.”
