CHAPTER 1
The small, rural town of Akakor lay shrouded in an eternal gloom, its residents living in the shadow of the unforgiving wilderness. It was a place where tradition and community held sway, where everyone knew each other's names and stories. And in the heart of this tight-knit community stood a woman, Alu. Her beauty and kindness renowned throughout the town. But beneath the surface, darkness stirred, waiting to unleash its fury upon the world. There lived a woman named Aluanda. She was the nicest and kindest person you could ever meet.
Aluanda's smile could disarm the most cautious. Her eyes sparkled with an unnatural intensity, as if she were fueled by a hidden darkness. She moved with calculated precision, her steps silent as a predator's. Her voice was honey-sweet, lulling victims into a sense of security. The air thickened when Aluanda entered a room. Conversations faltered, and laughter died on lips. Her presence was a cold draft on a winter night, leaving others shivering in her wake. Eyes would meet hers, and suddenly they'd lock away, as if avoiding the truth they didn't know. The people in her community loved her so much. They would all gather around her house for a braai on a cold night. Little did they know that she was a wolf in sheep's clothing. Only red meat would be cooked, and red wine would be served. Red wine? While it was cold, that looked a little suspicious. Aluanda loved toddlers so much that some of her beloved friends would ask her to babysit while they were partying all night. She would sit with the numerous toddlers and sing their favorite song to them, "HOW TO CATCH PREY." Each day she would give them a bowl of red jelly, a rasberry lollipop, accompanied by strawberry juice. They always showed up with red tongues, which didn't surprise the parents.
