Everything seems to be fine and perfect, since Hyoyeon isn't against us, I feel sort of free and relieved. I'm happy with it but there are things that bothers me, people rather, Minho and Seolhyun.
We don't want them to be hurt but we can't avoid it. It already happened. We can't just pretend and continue to lie, that's ridiculous. Besides, love is always associate with pain. People says love means pain and it always hurt. For me, it's not always hurt and love is a wonderful thing here on Earth. It's just... you will know that you really love the person if you get hurt, intentionally or unintentionally.
We don't intend to hurt them, I will talk to Seolhyun and be honest with her while Tiffany will settle things with Minho. "Don't be afraid to tell the truth. It's better to hurt someone by truth than to make them happy by lies." Khaled Hosseini quoted that and it stuck in my head. I totally agree with that.
Honestly, I would rather get hurt with the truth that comfort me with lies.
I don't tolerate cheating so as much as possible, I'm trying not to be touchy with Tiffany even if I'm dying to touch and kiss her. I respect everyone. "Do not do unto others what you don't want others do unto you." Confucius reminds us to refrain from certain actions so it won't return to us. Karma it is.
After school, I talked to Tiffany and said that I will hangout with Yoona. It wasn't like I'm asking permission from her, we're not girlfriends yet. I just wanted her to know where will I go so she can also mention it to Hyoyeon. At least, they know where to find me.
In a bar, me and Yoona rented a private room. She ordered foods and cocktail drinks. We didn't hear the blasting sound of the music outside, just minimal sound.
For sure, we will go outside and dance later.
While Yoona was eating, she was swaying her body matching to the music and she was also holding her glass of cocktail.
"I missed this. It's cool that we can do this again," Yoona toasted her glass of cocktail to mine.
I sipped a bit of my drink and put it down on the table "Of course, we can do it as much as you want."
"Good," Yoona also put down her drink on the table and leaned forward to me to hug me. "I missed you Taengoo!"
Is she tipsy or what? Nah, it's just a cocktail. It won't affect her.
I smiled and wrapped my arms around her tightly "I missed you too Yoong like so much."
"Too much will kill you," Yoona remarked.
I giggled "Too much is better than too little."
"I doubt that, it depends," she claimed and pulled herself away breaking the hug.
"Are you already drunk?"
"Nah, I'm just playing with you," she chuckled.
"You're always a player," I teased.
Yoona scowled "I'm not a player. You know I don't play games."
"I know you're not a gamer but a player," I smirked.
Yoona pouted and took a sip of her drink.
"Easy Yoong! The night is still young, though! We have much time to drink!" I cheerfully said.
"Anyway, I invited Seolhyun," Yoona suddenly mentioned.
"You what?" It's not that I didn't hear what she said.
"I said, I invited Seolhyun to join us," she repeated.
It was supposed to be our quality time and I will tell her about my feelings to Tiffany.
"But why?" I asked a little bit irritated because she didn't tell me about it.
"Huh? She's our friend too and we know that she likes you a lot," she winked then simpered to me.
I sighed disappointed.
Yoona frowned in an instant "What? What's wrong?"
"I have to tell you something important," I firmly stated.
"You can tell me now," Yoona said with the concern in her voice. "What is it?"
Then someone barged in the room making us to look at the door, good guess, it was Seolhyun.
"Hi gals, sorry I'm kinda late," Seolhyun smiled showing her perfect sweet smile.
Yoona beckoned her "It's alright! Come! Join us," she welcomed her.
Seolhyun closed the door and walked to us. She sat between me and Yoona "Thank you for inviting me, I really want to hangout with you."
I smiled to Seolhyun. Yoona's right, she's also our close friend. I shouldn't be mad but I guess, I won't tell Yoona about Tiffany, maybe next time.
"Sure, no problem," Yoona replied then she looked at me. "Anyway, what are you going to say?"
Oh s**t.
"Huh?" I panicked inside.
"What will you tell me?" Yoona reminded me.
"But Yoong-" then no words came out from my mouth.
"You can tell us, we're all friends here," Yoona insisted. Seolhyun innocently stared at me then nodded.
Should I tell them both? I know I can trust them but Seolhyun will be hurt.
Oh girl! It's a perfect timing! If you also tell Seolhyun, she will stop. Be honest with her, don't make her fall deeply in love with you because you know, you can't give it back to her.
It's now or never, Kim Taeyeon!
"Umm, if you guys need some privacy... I can just go outside," Seolhyun sensed that I was struggling but before she could stand from her seat I said "Just stay, hear me out."
"Okay," she smiled genuinely.
I don't want to hide things from them. If I tell them the truth, I know I will feel free and be relieved.
I took a deep breath, I hope that gave me enough courage to say what I needed to say.
"It's about me and Tiffany," I started.
"Tiffany?" Yoona unconsciously repeated as she ruminated then she realized "Who's Tiffany?"
"Professor T," I simply answered.
"Oh... you mean, Mrs. Hwang? What about you and her? She's staying in your apartment right?" Yoona assumed.
"And why are you calling her just by her name?" Seolhyun asked curiously. "Oh maybe, you two are friends now."
"Friends huh? I told you, you're Mrs. Hwang's favorite," Yoona confidently said.
I gulped quietly "I... I love her," I almost whispered then they just stared at me like I'm a crazy person.
Yoona nervously laughed "Is this a joke? I know Mrs. Hwang is really attractive and you have a little crush on her, don't take it seriously Taengoo."
I looked at her earnestly and Yoona stopped laughing while Seolhyun was just staring at me intently.
"No, Mrs. Hwang is engaged," Yoona added.
"I know but I love her and... s-she loves me," I finally said it. No turning back.
"What?? She loves you??" Yoona asked in disbelief then Seolhyun drank a glass of cocktail as if it was just a shot glass.
I nodded "Yes. We love each other."
"She's cheating on her fiance?" Seolhyun asked accusing Tiffany.
I scowled "Of course not, we don't have relationship. We just confirmed our feelings and we can't hide it anymore, at least, to the people who are close to us. You deserve to know it especially you, Seolhyun," I explained carefully.
"I know you have feelings for me but I'm sorry I can't return it to you. I think this is the right time for you to know it. I like you but my feelings for Tiffany is different. It's stronger and it's love," I added.
"But how about her fiance? You know, that is forbidden Taeyeon. Mrs. Hwang isn't serious about this, she will be married soon," Yoona spurned.
"Tiffany will talk to her fiance tomorrow and tell everything to him. I will not rush things between us, I will wait till we graduate college," I clarified.
"Wow, I can't believe this. You really got smitten by Mrs. Hwang," Yoona took a sip of my cocktail since Seolhyun emptied hers.
Seolhyun abruptly stood up "I should go now."
"Seolhyun?"
"Good night, be safe," Seolhyun's voice was trembling then she rushed out of the room.
I stood up in reflex.
"I think she's really hurt, are you really serious Taeyeon?" Yoona asked still dazed.
"Yes I've never been so sure in my life Yoona, I love Tiffany," I stood my ground. I know what I feel, I don't wanna lie to myself and to anyone.
"Okay but you should follow Seolhyun and talk to her. I will just finish this then I will follow you," she was referring to the foods and drinks. She also wanted to give us privacy to talk.
"Thank you Yoona."
"You know I will always support you even if you do the dumbest thing. I'm your best friend and I love you," Yoona sincerely said.
"I love you too," I hugged her.
Yoona patte my back then pushed me lightly "Go!" She shooed me. "Go follow Seolhyun!"
"Alright," then I rushed outside.
