The blare of pulsing sirens alerts everyone in the West Wing of a potential attack. Margaret, the Chairman, and Director O’Neil are meeting in the Situation Room when the alarms sound. Secret Service agents rush into the room.
“Per protocol, we’re on lockdown, ma’am. There have been two incidents on the west coast. You need to look at the monitor.”
Margaret’s phone alerts her to a text from the base Commander at Vandenberg AFB. Madam President, there’s an incoming missile. Appears to be Chinese. We’re launching an anti-ballistic rocket now.
