24 THE CONFESSION

The next day Lionel went to Elsa's house to check her health, since when he left her the night before she was very asleep.

"Good morning Mr. Einstein, I can go up to Elsa's room". Lionel said to Elsa's father.

“Hi Larson, yeah right, she's still in bed. I have called her several times, but she doesn’t answer, try to call her, she must go to the University today”. Said Mr. Einstein a little worried.

"Of course, with permission".

Lionel prepared to go up to Elsa's room and knocked on her door, however, she didn’t respond, so he made one of her maneuvers as Frederic's agent and managed to open the door. Elsa was still asleep.

"Elsa, Elsa". Lionel said in a calm tone so as not to scare her.

After a few minutes, she reacted even though her gaze was a little lost.

"Lar ... son, are you?". Elsa said speaking softly.

"Yes Elsa, how do you feel?". Lionel asked.

"I have a little sickness, I don’t know that I drank, I think I got quite drunk". Elsa replied, believing that she was like that due to excess alcohol.

"I'll bring you something from the pharmacy so you can get better". Lionel said to Elsa.

"I appreciate it, Larson, I shouldn't have drunk so much, I don't even remember if I had fun at the party in honor of the team". Said Elsa sadly. "I've never had so much to finish this way".

"Don't worry, Elsa, it happens to all of us, and I'll be back for your medicine". Said Lionel.

As he headed to the pharmacy to buy Elsa the medicine, Lionel considered whether or not to tell her the truth about what had happened last night with Bennet, since the last thing he wanted was to see the girl upset.

"Take Elsa, this will make you better". Lionel said to Elsa while she passed him a pill with a glass of water.

"Thank you, Larson, I appreciate you not judging me, I caused many disasters last night?". Elsa asked.

Lionel didn’t want to lie to Elsa, since she was very affected believing that she had been drunk, so he decided to tell her the truth.

"Elsa, I see that you are better, I want to tell you something important".

"Don't scare me, Larson, what else did I do last night?". Elsa said intrigued.

"You didn't do anything last night; you were actually the victim of a criminal".

"I'm not understanding you, Larson, forgive me".

"Elsa the truth is that you cannot remember anything that happened last night is because Bennet wanted to abuse you and have s*x with you without your consent and he was going to do it by taking drugs, he put a substance in your drink that caused you dizziness and is the that prevents you from remembering what happened last night”.

As soon as Elsa heard the story that Lionel just told her, she broke down crying

"AND HE ACHIEVE IT?". Elsa yelled.

Lionel hugged her tightly to calm her down a bit, and helped her lie back on her bed.

"Easy, that damn unhappy couldn’t do anything to you, I arrived on time and I gave him a few blows and I almost killed him, I really felt very angry to see what I wanted to do to you". Lionel explained to Elsa. “You were just a good friend Elsa, you shouldn't feel guilty about that boy's actions. He decided to become a criminal”.

"I want justice to be done, we cannot allow Bennet to be loose and without punishment, any girl can be a victim of him". Said Elsa firmly.

"We will send him to prison, you have my full support".

After a while, Elsa called her father to tell her about the tragic situation she had been through the night before. Mr. Einstein was extremely enraged and promised that he would destroy Bennet. Therefore, he contacted some friends of the local police, who soon helped him get a warrant for the boy's arrest. Similarly, Mr. Einstein made sure that the local press knew what kind of criminal Bennet was.

"Hello, The Wave newspaper?".

"Yes, I’m the journalist Lizzy, how can I help you?".

"I’m Mr. Einstein, perhaps you know about me from my mining companies in Lucien and in other countries".

The journalist was immediately surprised because she wasn’t used to receiving calls from such important characters.

"Mr. Eistein, it is an honor for us that you communicate with our environment".

"Lizzy, I just want to give you a piece of news that I know will interest you too much".

"Let me take notes, Mr. Einstein".

Elsa's father told the journalist that Bennet was being investigated for trying to have s*x with a girl without her consent, the news was soon published in the media and spread throughout the country.

Bennet was captured and sent to prison for the crime he had committed. This event became highly relevant news, it was such an impact that some groups of women mobilized to seek the resignation of Bennet's father, as they were not willing to allow their leaders to be involved in cases of attack against of the citizens; These protests caused the Senator to resign his position and leave the country.

“Larson justice was finally done”. Said Elsa triumphantly.

"It’s the least that Elsa could spend, Bennet must pay for what he did, perhaps that will teach him that he cannot do what he wants with the world". Said Lionel. “Are you ready to go back to college? They are missing you quite a bit”.

"No Larson, I won’t return to the University. Dad doesn’t want anything to remind me of that horrible event with Bennet, I’ll move to another University, I’m waiting for some subjects to endorse me to start my studies in another place”.

“It’s better this way, Elsa, you have the right to start somewhere else, you will be clearer and more focused on your studies. You know that I’ll accompany you and protect you wherever you are”. Said Lionel while looking Elsa in the eyes.

"I know, you are an incredible man Larson with you I feel that I’m not in danger, you have become part of my life". Said Elsa as she took Lionel's hand.

"You're a great girl Elsa, I don't feel like I'm working when I'm protecting you".

"I wish you weren't with me just because of your job, at some point you will leave and I don't want that to happen".

"Don’t think about the future, enjoy the now Elsa, I’m protecting you and for now I don’t plan to leave you alone". Said Lionel.

"Larson, I want to be honest with you, for me, you are very special. You have become someone fundamental in my life. You are a great support. I enjoy every moment that we share”.

"Elsa, I have never tired of telling you how smart and beautiful you are". Said Lionel.

For Elsa, Lionel wasn’t just a handsome boy that she liked, she had already shared so much with him that she knew how brave, strong and special he was, she never knew when she had fallen in love with him, every day that passed without being able to confess her love seemed like hell, she had never felt in love with a boy before.

"Larson, I want to tell you something, I just ask you not to judge me or stay away from me for what I'm going to tell you".

"Don't scare me Elsa, you can tell me everything you want".

"I have been hiding something from you for a long time, I don’t know if at any time you have noticed it but I’m in love with you, you don’t have to tell me anything now, I’m only being sincere to be well with me". Elsa confessed to Lionel. For Lionel, the girl was really beautiful and intelligent but he wasn’t in love with her, he only saw her as a good friend and for that moment, he had no choice but to reject her love.

"I really feel very flattered that a girl like you is in love with me, but you know that I cannot have love affairs, at any moment they transfer me and you will have to forget about me, at this moment I can only offer you my friendship". Lionel replied trying to not hurt Elsa.
