46 TRIP

"Well girls get in the car, it's time to go!".

Corrine and Elsa quickly moved towards Lionel's vehicle, they both wanted to sit in the front of the vehicle, however, Elsa arrived first which is why Corrine frowned at her and she made a slightly offensive comment to the girl.

"Hide your desire". Said Corrine.

"I can't hide what I feel". Elsa replied.

At that time Lionel arrived and noticed the comments that the girls were making, so he better chose to go alone in the front seat of the vehicle.

"Girls, in the front of the vehicle I going to go alone". Lionel said.

Corrine was immediately relieved and got into the vehicle. "He can't stand you, girl". She said.

Elsa, for her part, got into the vehicle and ignored the comment she had just heard.

 “Well, girls, before we go for a walk we have to go through some things to the supermarket”.

"What will we buy Larson?". Elsa said.

"Some snacks for the road, I don't want to starve during the trip". Said Lionel laughing.

"Sounds great, I'd like to stop for a burger. I love its”. Said Elsa.

"I don't think it's a good idea to stop for lunch. It would distract us a lot from the trip”. Corrine interjected.

Lionel started his vehicle and reached the town in less than five minutes. Once there, he and the young women got out of the vehicle.

"We go to the supermarket first to buy the snacks, in the next town we stop to eat the hamburgers, do you agree?".

"Sounds great". Said Elsa somewhat excitedly.

"Okay". Corrine said a little resigned.

The three entered the supermarket and in less than half an hour they already had a large number of snacks and drinks, returned to the vehicle, and continued on their way.

"Where will we go?". Corrine asked.

"I see that you don't know either”. Said Elsa.

“I won't tell you yet, it will be a surprise. I know you will really like the site we are going to”.

"You and your mysteries". Corrine said.

With the words that Corrine had just said, Elsa thought that she wasn’t the only one who believed that Lionel was a bit mysterious, however, the mystery of was one of the things that most appealed to him about the boy's personality.

"I'm not mysterious, I want to give you a little surprise". Said Lionel trying to eliminate the tension that still existed between the girls.

For a few minutes, the three of them were very silent, each reflecting on the problems that afflicted them; on the one hand, Lionel thought of his sister, there wasn’t a day that he didn’t think of her, many months had passed without knowing if he was alive, he preferred to keep hope intact. On the other hand, Corrine every day doubted the role that Lionel had in Blackwing, she had been investigating for many months and had found nothing related to some criminal act that this criminal gang used to perpetrate. Lastly, Elsa thought about her father, loved him and couldn’t bear to see something bad happen to her, but she knew that it was better that she be away from him. For the three of them, this little trip was going to be used to try to forget their worries.

"Are you very quiet, are you sleepy?". Lionel said trying to end the minutes of silence.

"I got distracted by the landscapes, they are very beautiful". Said Corrine.

"Mary is right, there are very beautiful landscapes". Said Elsa.

"Well, they have something in common they love to be distracted by the landscape". Said Lionel laughing, trying to get the girls to talk to each other.

"These landscapes are appreciated by everyone". Said Elsa.

Corrine for her part was silent, for a moment she wanted to avoid arguments with the other girl.

"We arrived! I've been told that the burgers at this place are excellent”. Lionel reported.

"I thought you didn't know anyone in town". Said Corrine.

"I've been living there for a few months now; I've already made a couple of friends". Said Lionel.

When they entered the restaurant, they realized that it was full despite how early it was.

“Sorry, I have no seats available. If you like we can prepare your burgers to go”.

"Wow ... We won't be capable to eat a hamburger today". Said Corrine, who was glad that Elsa's whim wasn’t honored.

"It doesn't matter, we'll take them". Lionel said to the waiter.

"And where are we supposed to eat?". Elsa asked.

"I saw some picnic tables in a nearby forest, let's go there".

"You are creative". Said Corrine.

"Sounds great". Said Elsa cheerfully.

As they walked towards the forest Corrine was again reflecting on her presence there, after a few minutes she thought that she was acting in a way that wasn’t habitual for her, she was generating discord with that girl and she didn’t know the reason for it, she told herself that she should avoid such conflicts because she shouldn't forget that she was still on a mission, she wasn’t Mary, she was the director of Lucien's best investigative body and she must behave as such.

"This seems like a good place". Was Corrine's comment.

"It’s very quiet". Said Lionel. "There I see the picnic place; we are going there".

As soon as they reached the picnic area, the three of them set out to eat the lunch burgers.

"These burgers are quite delicious". Said Corrine. "I must admit it was an excellent suggestion Elsa". With that comment, she was trying to make peace with the other girl.

"This burger is great". Replied Elsa a little more courteously.

"And don't forget the place, girls, it's also quite nice".

"That's the best". Said Elsa.

After a while, the boys returned to the vehicle as they hadn’t yet reached their final destination.

"Elsa, do you want to listen to some music?". Corrine said.

"That's a great idea, turn on the Larson radio". She replied.

Lionel put on a station where various music played, which enlivened the atmosphere.

"Girls, how did you like this tour?".

"To tell the truth, a long time ago I didn't go out for a walk". Said Corrine. "I wasn't disappointed at all, what do you think Elsa?".

"All this has been very entertaining, thank you both very much". Elsa replied.

"And we still have the rest of the trip!". Lionel said he was a little calmer because the girls were no longer being so hostile.

Similarly, Elsa thought that perhaps she was misjudging her protector's roommate because she was being very nice to her.

"You already want to reveal the place to which we will go, I feel quite anxious and you don’t help to hide the final destination". Elsa said laughing.

"You will have to bribe if you want me to tell you where we are going".

"How much money do you want?". Corrine said with a laugh.

"They will need more than money to reveal the great place". Said Lionel mockingly.

"Do you want wines right?". Elsa said.

"Elsa hit the spot". Corrine interjected.

"But not just any wine is what I want, give me one from the 1920 vintage and I'll reveal the place to you".

What the girls didn’t know was that this wine was only in the hands of a few, so it was not easy to get.

"I just looked on the internet and that wine is not available". Elsa said.

"They'll have to steal it from me". Said Lionel sarcastically.

"You want us to be jailed before we arrive". Elsa smiled.

The guys continued the trip making funny comments and laughing, Elsa had already discarded the idea of telling Lionel to take her housemate out of her house because it had been quite funny, although deep down, she still kept jealousy towards her. Her love for Lionel was greater than she could imagine and with her in the house, she couldn’t seduce him during her stay in the villa.
