Alysey groaned as she went down the stairs carrying large bucket full of dirty water . Her mistress had order her to scrub the fire place and dust all the furniture in the parlor in preparation for Anna's 18th birthday celebration. Her mother was hoping her daughter would find a husband among the guests so she'd invited rich people with higher social status.The celebration was going to start at 8.00 pm and end at midnight .Every maid in the house was hurrying about .Mr Rosenev ,the butler, was barking and shouting orders to anyone who dared catch his eye. Everything had to look perfect or there was going to be hell pay.

After Alysey was done with the preparation , she hurried to her room to bath and put on her only nice maid's uniform which was made for special occasions like today. She could already hear the music .Guest had already started arriving . Thank Heavens she wasn't on greeting duty today. Her duties for that day were pretty clear .She was to walk around the room serving drinks and snacks .Make sure all the guest's glasses were full , their needs met and nothing was out place . She had two other girls , lily and Tia ,helping her. As these girls were new, she was in charge of them that meant if any of the girls made a mistake she was going to pay for it dearly.

Alysey was walking around with a bottle of champagne refilling glasses .The room was full of laughter and music The ladies were elegantly dressed and the men looked handsome in their three piece suits and tuxedos..She supposed she could have been one of these ladies here drinking wine , laughing and enjoying life but she had , had that chance snatched away from her .She vowed she would get revenge no matter What.Her plans were almost complete .All she needed now was a chance to get things moving.
