II - Danny (Danielle)

Monday morning, Charles passed by Danielle's home and to go to McDonald's for some vanilla iced coffee. Danielle was surprised by this act of Charles because as of Danielle knew, Charles is not the I'll pay for your food for now kind of person. Anyway, this is new to her.
They walked inside the fast food restaurant smelling the aroma of fries and Danielle truly craved for it, fries is her favorite on-the-go food.
"Charles, what's gotten into you? This is the first time that you'll pay for my food, huh?"
"It's a thing now, especially that you just confessed that you like me."
Danielle stared confused, "Charles, I thought we had a thing that we need to work on, the Julia thing?"
"About that, you are sure that you really want to try it? I mean, I was playing around you yesterday, huh."
"I want to try it, plus Julia seemed nice. I feel it."
Charles' mouth formed into an O shaped, shocked by Danielle's statement.
"A changed of heart by just one day? Wow, that's possible?" Charles teasingly said.
"Stop teasing me. Just give me my fries and coffee please. I craved those for days."
"Say thank-"
Charles was stopped when he noticed Danielle staring at a random direction besides him. "Danielle?"
"Charles, that's her-"
"That's who?"
"Julia. The girl who I met in the canteen."
With that, Charles turned around and saw a petite girl with a medium length hair, a pair of expressive eyes, a pointy nose and a plump lips.
"That's Julia?" Charles said while grinning.
Before Danielle could speak, Julia approach her and gave her a pinch on her cheeks.
"Good morning, Danielle!" Julia greeted still pinching Danielle's cheeks.
"Julia, what-"
"I came by here to get some iced coffee, you know, to boost my system."
"Oh, that's great, by the way, this is Charles." Danielle said while smiling.
Danielle smiling towards Julia? That's new. Truly a change of heart.
"Charles, this is Julia. The girl I was talking to you about."
Julia grinned, "You talked about me to your friend?"
"All good things, really good ones." Charles interrupted.
"Charles!"
"Yes, Danny?"
"Give me my coffee before I can punch your face."
"You are truly a Hermoine Granger!" Charles and Julia said both at the same time.
"Did you two just?"
With that, Julia handed Danielle some vanilla iced coffee.
"Coffee, Miss Granger." Julia said smiling.
"Charles?"
"I swear, I don't know."
Danielle raised her brows at Charles while tasting the coffee that Julia offered to her.
"This is vanilla. How did you know?"
Julia smiled and walked closely to Danielle to at least close their gap.
"I have my ways, always."
Julia Joselyn, this is too close. Charles, help me please, what the f**k are doing there standing and grinning? HELP.
The lady with the rose colored reading glasses was stunned by the act of Julia. To the point that she did not noticed that Julia wiped the excess coffee in Danielle's mouth.
"You are adorable, Danny." Julia said while grinning and pinching Danielle's cheeks.
"You are too close, Julia. Uhm-"
"Am I?"
Julia Joselyn still continued pinching Danielle's cheeks and come even closer that their noses are already touching. Because of that, Danielle shut her eyes that caused Charles to interrupt Julia by trying to get in between the two ladies.
"Julia? My friend seemed tensed right now do you mind if I take her hand just for now?"
Julia realized that Danielle seemed to uncomfortable with that, she distanced herself. Danielle and Julia looked like they were in a movie and a scene wherein two secretly in love with each other is standing beside each other trying to cope with the awkward silence. Of course, Charles is between them.
"Girls, you two alright?"
"Yes."
"Definitely."
"If that's the case, can we go to school now? I am tired watching the two of you being confused with each other. The other is forward while the other is letting the other do it yet is so coping with her s**t. And yes, I am using the word other repeatedly because of coffee! Okay? Okay, I'm good!"
Charles then walked out in the situation of the two by walking fast with his coffee in his hand. Wow, Charles is energetic, huh?
"Is that your friend? He's a relatable one." Julia said while still keeping the distance between them.
"He is, he's cute." Danielle said walking out and being followed by Julia behind.
Julia won't really gave up on me, huh? Should I be at least, be friends with her? I mean, she seemed to be interesting, the one that you'll meet that has the description of a love interest in a book. The mysterious one yet when you get to know them, they are actually quirky. What the f**k? Seriously, Danny you thought that?
"So, Danny." Julia said catching up with Danielle.
Danielle looked at her, and all she can see is Julia's dreamy eyes for it is like speaking to her. She is drowned to the eyes of this petite, medium haired girl that she didn't noticed that her hands are being held.
She looked down to their intertwined hands and looked up at Julia once again,
"Don't call me- that."
To Danielle's surprise, she found herself holding Julia's hand tightly. Because of that, Julia grew confused and worried at the same time, "Danielle?"
"Julia?"
"You alright?"
"Yes, I am alright, don't worry."
"Because you seemed different today."
"Maybe I am starting to be different." With that, she looked at Julia with a smile.
Them walking together felt different. It felt like they were not with Charles, just the two of them having a casual day somewhere far from their houses. Somewhere that is filled with trees and flowers that dances with the wind. But then, Charles called them out.
"Love birds, hurry up!"
Being called that, they ran to Charles hands still intertwined, "How dare you call us that!" Danielle said.
Charles then looked at those soft intertwined hands that fits perfectly to each other, "Really? Danielle? Look at the both of you."
"What?"
"Nothing. It's just different today, huh?" Charles said while grinning.
With that, Danielle looked at Julia just like the eye contact of questioning. In response, Julia just winked at her.
"I think, I get what you are saying here, Charles. And maybe? I don't know."
Out of nowhere, Julia blurted out something, still walking, holding hands with Danielle, "You will know soon, I feel it." smiling at the sky.
Upon hearing that, Danielle let go of Julia's hand and walked in a fast pace leaving Charles and Julia behind.
"You get it, do you?" Julia said looking at Charles.
"I think, I do." Charles said wrapping an arm around Julia's shoulder.
"I then, realized you are like a 4'11, huh?" Charles then played with Julia's hair.
"Best friends, then?"
"Best friends."
The trio then got to school and done their usual routine.

School breaks
And repeat until 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon.
Danielle went home straight to her room to do an assignment in Mathematics, not until she felt her phone vibrate on the bedside table.
It is from the unknown number.
It says, Danielle, can you send me the page of our homework in Math?
Danielle smiled, knowing who might this person be. She replied with, Sure. It is page 65. Algebra equations.
The unknown, replied quickly, Thank you! With a smiley face in it.
Danielle replied even after that thank you message.
