Chapter 1
Gia’s pov
It was dark and the moon shone brightly in the sky, surrounded by glowing night gems. Grabbing a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolate, I made my way to his front porch. A smile painted my lips as I expected him to be behind the doors, surprised that I had chosen to throw him a visit.
Today was going to be his birthday and I wanted to wish him. I knocked on the door but after a few minutes and no one opened, I twisted the knob and walked in. My eyes scanned the area and fell on two pieces of clothing, resting on the couch.
I could tell that one belonged to a female, as he didn’t need the dress. My heart began to race against my chest as my eyes fell on the stairway, leading to the top, towards his room.
To make matters worse, they were loud. Both him and his w***e, whoever it was with him. I was enraged, throwing the bouquet in my hand and found myself, headed for the stairs to meet him.
I needed an explanation. I wanted to know why. Why was he doing this? Why did he do it? What have I done wrong to him?
Tears were already slipping down my cheeks as I inched closer to the door. As soon as I got there, I twisted the knob and walked into the room.
There were no gasps, none from me. I simply stood there, eyes blurred by tears as I watched my boyfriend, have s*x with my step-sister before me. They figured I was there, and immediately, they stopped what they were doing.
“Gia, you are here? Why?” he asked and I knew he felt nervous to speak but I didn’t care. “You should have called me first.” He said as he approached me and once he was at arm’s length, I slapped him hard across the face.
“How dare you?” I questioned him as he placed his hand on his cheek in total surprise. “How could you do this? I hate you… I hate both of you.” I said and glanced at my sister.
Unlike him, she didn’t seem to care that she was caught. Not like I had expected her to, in the first place. She had always had a crush on him but I was hurt that he would stoop so low as to cheat on me with her.
“Why are you upset? What’s the big deal? We had s*x and so what? How do I know you aren’t cheating on me as well?” Austin asked, his brows furrowed and his eyes filled with resentment.
“Excuse me?” I managed to mutter, fully stunned by his utterance. The fact that he had wanted to justify his actions with mere assumptions, was even more painful.
“I’m sorry but I don’t think we should see each other anymore.”
“What did you say?”
“He said he doesn’t want to see you anymore. Don’t you get it? Get lost!” my step-sister yelled into my face and walking over, she pushed me. To make matters worse, she turned around and kissed him. “We are meant to be Gia.” She said and turning her head to the side, I noticed a smirk.
“Fine… I really don’t care.”
That was a lie because I did care. He was my boyfriend and finding out that he was cheating on me, with my step-sister was enough reason for me to vent. I turned around and walked towards the door, stopping short at the exit.
“Don’t you ever call me again, you cheating fvck!” I said and then, I walked right out of the door.
As soon as I got into the car, I allowed myself a few minutes to cry out my heart, tears streamed down my cheeks as I audibly laid curses.
I had never been so heartbroken before and it hurts even badly. Out of all the people he would have chosen, it was her?
Some part of me wished he didn’t just stand there and watched me leave. I wished he had at least made a move to stop me. Hold my hand and apologize and probably kick my step-sister out but he didn’t.
I was disappointed but hey, he was right. We were never meant to be and I wished them well.
I needed to clear my head and think about my next line of action. I knew I would never be able to trust anyone again would absolutely not be able to get into another relationship, lest I get heart broken again.
I drove myself to a bar. Maybe a few drinks will help me forget about the scumbag for a while. As soon as I pulled over and handed the keys to a valet, I walked into the bar. I could hear the sounds of cheers as group of friends drank at a table and another, as some people made bets.
I walked over to the bar section and pulling a stool, I sat on it.
The beautiful lady walked up to me and without asking for my order, she poured out beer for me. I smiled as I took the shot while she left the bottle on the table. I was a regular, so it wasn’t surprising.
“Hadn’t seen you in a while—What brings you by?” she asked as she grabbed a napkin and began to wipe a glass.
“I just need to drink, Caroline.” I replied and she smirked while I took the shot. “How much?”
“Oh don’t worry sweetheart, it’s been paid for.” She said and bobbed her head as she stared behind me.
Turning around, I noticed a man sitting at one side of the bar. He was mostly hidden in the shadows and lifting his head up, he waved at me and smiled. I have never seen him before and turning around, I stared at her.
“He came here almost everyday, funny. He does the same thing, asking about you and paying for your drinks. I assume he is into you.” She added and winked.
A stalker.
“I’m going to leave you both for a while.” She said and moved away. Just then, I head footsteps from behind me. My stalker was approaching me.
“What do you want?” I asked without turning to look at him.
“You look beautiful.” He complimented but I scoffed. I knew what he wanted. He wanted to lay down with me.
“Is that all?” I asked downing my shot. However, before he could speak, I turned around and clashed my lips against his.
His eyes were widened in shock. He probably must be wondering if I was crazy but I didn’t care. He was hot and sexy and I had made myself cheap to him. Whatever —at least, he’s not the damn f**k that ended up in bed with my step-sister.
He didn’t bother to resist and with a smile, he kissed back before he pulled away. “I had recently just flown in. Come with me.” He said and with that, I had ended up following my stalker and having s*x with him that night.
