Eloi stared at his alpha who stood guard at the entrance not going in neither was he leaving.
'even his ruthless and cold alpha could hesitate' he thought.
He felt an urge to mock him, but ofcourse, even if he had all the courage in the world he wouldn't dare to poke fun at his alpha.
Eloi straightened his back and coughed,
"Alpha you are here? Aren't you going inside to see her?" he asked sheepishly.
Luciano ignored his beta as he kept battling with his wolf, he just found out he still couldn't feel her wolf and Roy was anxious.
"Alpha, there seem to be a problem with her wolf" Eloi spoke again.
"Meaning?" Luciano immediately asked as that was the cause of his worry.
"They must have injected her with wolfsbane for long, so her wolf is temporarily lost but the healer said she needs only a couple of medication to get her wolf back"
Luciano nodded his gaze devoid of an expression
"Then... Are you still going inside?" Eloi scratched his head as he couldn't help but ask.
Luciano threw the cigarette into the garbage under the window sill and took out another one to light as he ignored his beta.
Eloi decided to shut up but suddenly had an exciting thought.
Was he finally going to see his alpha who always had an icy expression beg for attention?
No- that was not it.
He couldn't imagine that, just the thought made his legs grow weak.
Or would he see his alpha coax someone? he was so excited when he saw the usually stoic alpha hesitating with slightly hunched shoulders.
He must share it with someone, he couldn't be the only one to see such a pleasant sight and must share it with Caleb. He happily left.

It was only over ten metres from his study to the basement but Luciano felt he had walked for a very long time. When he arrived at the door, which was slightly ajar, he quietly stared at it
Finally, he reached out to pull it open.
Serena was sleeping Peacefully at the small bed
The light from the hallway illuminated him from behind and cast a huge shadow,
He stood at the door way, his blue eyes staring at her unblinkingly.
As if Serena felt the tension in the air, she opened her eyes and sat up.
She raised her gaze only to meet with a familiar pair of ocean blue eyes.
Those pair of eyes that where so translucent and intensely blue that always seem to calm her nerves
She was shocked,
But not too surprised.
After finding out she was freed, she saw the red batch of private royal guards that indicated a royal was here. She instinctively thought about him but didn't think she would meet him this soon.
But seeing him right in front of her now felt unbelievable.
He walked to her side and asked calmly,
"Feeling better?"
Serena felt enraged, she wanted to shout at him, hit him or better still chase him out of the room.
But she forcefully restrained her emotions and stared at him for a bit.
"Yes. Thank you for freeing us from the slavers"
Luciano felt the metal taste of blood rise at the back of his throat. The corners of his mouth twitched uncontrollably at how formal she spoke.
His eyes roamed her face.
She had changed, her face screaming adulthood, all the chubby fats that made her face cute and bubbly were gone replaced with curves and beautiful contours.
Hearing her speak so formerly, the need to take her in my arms soured within me as I clenched my hands behind me to resist the temptation.
She was so beautiful and I knew if it wasn't for me been of the royal blood a normal wolf wouldn't be able to restrain himself like this.
I could feel Roy crazing over her scent and I was intoxicated too but was more restrained.
Finally, after using much strength to resist the mate pull. I spoke
"I am sorry" I found myself saying as i didn't know how to express myself in words.
"Prince Luciano, it's enough you saved me from the hands of the slavers I am very grateful, I don't see a reason for you to apologize to me" she said even more calmly.
The fact that she wasn't throwing tempers on him did not relieve him instead it made him tensed. He would have preferred if she openly conveyed her grievance.
He could not hold up anymore and finally pulled her unto his chest, as he tried to convey his guilt ridden conscience and pain into words in that embrace
He put her head on his chest to rest in his embrace, he felt her struggle for a while before she gave up and relaxed in his arms
Everything was just too complicated to explain to her, so he couldn't give her an explanation.
He noticed she fell asleep as soon as she relaxed in his arms.
She must be exhausted. He thought
Just then a series of knocks was heard.
