The Baby
One cold night in June, a young couple was resting peacefully in their home. In the middle of the night, the cry of a baby made itself present. The couple went in search of the cause of that sound, thinking that it could be the television that was turned on or some friend of theirs who wanted to play a joke on them, but what they found froze their blood. On their dining room table was a basket with a baby inside it. The couple, seeing the scene, froze. They wanted to know who it was. Why did he do it? Why them? This is a joke, among thousands of questions that came like bursts into his head. An overwhelming silence ensued, neither of them knew what to do at that moment, until one of them decided to act.
"What are you doing, Zula?" He took the young woman's arm.
-Mike, look, there's a note in the basket- Zula replied as she slipped out of his grasp" It could be an address or why they left a girl in our house.
Resigned, Auden watched as his wife carefully unfolded the piece of paper that was in the baby's basket.
Only you can protect her.
The couple did not understand anything that was happening. Why did they choose them? Who are the parents of this baby? Would they have to talk to the police or would they heed the note and take care of the baby? That and many more questions invaded the minds of those young people and these same thoughts were interrupted because the girl stopped crying. They both approached carefully and carefully observed the girl: she was a baby of approximately 3 weeks with a tight skin tone, rosy cheeks that made her look more adorable, and green eyes that made that couple fall in love. Zula took the girl in her arms and when she felt the warmth of her new mother, she let out a laugh that captivated the couple even more. Everything about her was beautiful, but there was something that caught the couple's attention.
After a sleepless night and discussions, the young couple decided to adopt that beautiful girl. When the decision was made, Mike went to the nearest supermarket from his house and bought all the materials they would need to care for the girl clothes, diapers, bottles, pacifiers, toys, a crib, among other things.
After several hours, Mike returned home with everything necessary to meet the basic needs of that baby who would now be his daughter. He prepared to assemble the crib while Zula was in charge of speaking with her lawyers to carry out the immediate adoption of that lovely girl.
Mike went into the guest room to start furnishing it and conditioning it to turn it into the girl's room. With a simple movement of his hand and a simple spell, the crib began to assemble itself while he cast another spell to shrink that double bed that was in that room.
- With that simple word and a wave of the hand, the double bed shrank to a tiny size.
After a long day between conditioning the girl's room, talking to endless lawyers and attending to the baby's needs, the little family was in harmony in the new baby's room, which was already completely ready.
Zula announced the happy news that the lawyers managed to process the adoption papers, which would arrive in the morning. The couple watched that little angel who was sleeping peacefully.
"How silly!" Zula exclaimed as she hit her forehead with her hand, expressing remarkable despair.
"What's up honey?" Mike asked.
-We have not chosen a name for the baby
Now it was Mike's turn to hit his forehead with his hand.
-Of course, how could we forget that detail?
Do you have one in mind?
-Honestly no, I never stopped to think about it. And you? Do you have a name in mind?
-To be honest, yes. I like the name Tina
-mmm... Tina? I like it, it's a pretty name- Mike confirmed
-So, do we stay with that name?
-Tina Declan, I love how it sounds- Mike smiled from ear to ear
-I like it too- Zula turned and faced the baby. I gently took the little girl's hand so as not to wake her up and hugged her- Welcome Tina Declan. Today, June 13, you are officially part of this little family.

A little Tina was laughing out loud as she ran all over her house as fast as her little legs would allow her. That couple watched with delight that little girl who seemed to have no energy limit.
"You promise me you haven't given him sugar?" Zula asked her husband, amused.
-I promise I haven't given him sugar since that time he ran for 4 hours- Auden mentioned amused
-It's just impressive..- Zula was interrupted when she heard a thud and the sound of breaking glass.
The couple quickly went to look for Tina and make sure she was okay, but she was on the floor looking at that picture frame with its broken glass. Tina extended her hand to the glass of that picture frame. Zula and Mike watched as the girl was about to touch that pointed glass.
-Tina, don't touch it, you could hurt yourself- Mike exclaimed.
With a hurried step, he approached his daughter to prevent her from getting hurt, but before he could take his daughter, he heard that she was talking.
- Restored - Tina said, and by magic, that frame was in perfect condition, as if it had never been damaged.
The couple saw how their little girl showed a huge smile, took the picture frame and handed it to her dad, who still took it a bit shocked. When she handed over the picture frame, she continued playing as if nothing had happened.
The couple shared a complicated look, a look that answered a question that had been asked for 3 years: Why did they leave Tina with them? Clearly, whoever left Tina at her table knew that this couple were witches and that they could educate and teach their little girl everything that has to do with the supernatural world, but what is shocking about this situation is the girl's age.
Most witches or warlocks have their magic outbreaks around 8 or 9 years old, but Tina was only 3 years old when she cast a spell that neither of her parents had taught her, which added another question to her list of questions. What else will make Tina special?

When Tina was 8 years old, he received his first book on supernatural creatures as a gift, which spoke of an endless number of creatures, such as vampires, mermaids, fairies, goblins, centaurs, werewolves, witches, among many other species, but what, What really impressed Tina's parents was how she devoured her book and how she retained all her information, being able to recite to her parents about each creature as well as identifying them, which were natural enemies, which were the most dangerous, what made each one dangerous. species, what qualities make them unique, and so on.
Tina showed a remarkable interest in vampires and werewolves. Tina's parents were really impressed by the spectacular mind that that little witch possessed.
Also, for Tina to better adapt to the world, they decided to enroll her in a human school. On her first day, Tina caused a great sensation among her classmates due to the girl's charm. She was joking, cheerful and smiling, but not only with her classmates she caused a sensation, but also with her teachers because she was the best in class in all subjects, standing out more than anything in languages, mathematics and history.
A great surprise for the Declan family was to discover that Tina understood and spoke Latin fluently, and thanks to her mastery of that language, the magic classes with her mother went more smoothly and were more profitable.

Tina, when she was 13 years old, began to acquire certain hobbies from her parents. From Zula she took an interest in reading and music, resulting in Tina knowing how to play both the piano, the violin and the guitar, while Auden began to show a certain interest in motorcycles and in sports of any kind, but without a doubt his favorite sport was martial arts.
Little by little, the lessons with his mother became a little more complicated, but Tina knew how to perfectly develop and implement each new spell that was taught to him, improving remarkably in the preparation of potions and achieving total mastery in the manipulation of emotions. .
For his part, Auden decided to teach his daughter defense classes, starting with hand-to-hand combat and then proceeding and teaching her attack spells, so that his daughter could protect herself and be able to face anyone and whatever. But above all, he wanted to prevent his daughter from being. The typical damsel in distress would need a hero, she was going to be her own hero.
