Revenna's POV
We talked for at least 2 hours about the possibilities and mom's life since she left the pack. Lukas is actually quite quirky and funny, and I softened towards him as we talked. I actually think that he was what my mom needed.
He's terrified of me, and I like it, but he also knows why I am the way I am and he understands it, so we're good.
After processing what my mother had said, I felt a bit hopeful, but I still miss Dylan. I should at least talk to him. I said my goodbyes even though it was 2 in the morning, but I knew I wouldn't sleep anyway, so I might as well make a 3 hour drive. I got in the car, and decided to reverse to the left instead of the right, feeling like taking the long route home. Leave Out All The Rest by Linkin Park was playing on the radio:
When my time comes,
forget the wrong that I've done,
Help me leave behind some,
Reasons to be missed.
Don't resent me,
And when you're feeling empty,
Keep me in your memories,
Leave out all the rest.
I turned it up a bit feeling like jamming to Linkin Park all the way home to ease my nerves.
I was rocking out to in the end, when my world turned upside down.
Literally.
Something crashed into the right side of my car so hard that it was flipped over. Just my luck, that to the left was a long downwards slope and I just kept rolling. I tried bracing myself by pressing my hands against the roof of the car. I clenched my eyes and turned my head away from the window.
I felt my seatbelt strain against my neck and body. With each impact with the ground I felt bones break, and I felt myself losing consciousness. My eyes turned white again, and I tried chanting numerous things to get out of the car, but my mind was a mess, and I couldn't focus. So I closed my eyes and welcomed the darkness to take over completely.

I tried opening my eyes, but they felt so heavy. Like something was weighing them down. I stirred and felt something soft underneath me. I moved my hands to touch it, and it felt like a bed.
With a lot of trouble, I was able to open my eyes. I was in a dark room, on a four-poster bed. The bed was covered with black sheets and pillows. To my left side was a table with a lamp, a glass of ice water, and a bowl of fruit.
I was able to lift myself onto my elbows as I continued to take in the room.
Further left was a large mahogany door, with flower engravings, and next to it a full-length mirror. As my gaze went on, I found a dresser, a door, another door, and then the windows started. The windows were basically the whole of the farthest right wall, and they stretched from floor to ceiling, with no curtains.
I saw a forest and the darkness of the sky, which was slightly illuminated by the moon and the dazzling stars.
I sat up and took in my surroundings when I started hearing a noise. It sounded like chewing. I tried focusing my hearing, but my head started pounding. The noise was bothering me. It sounded so close. Like it came from the right side of the bed.
I slowly took the covers off my aching body and crawled to the side of the bed, in the perfect position to shift and pounce, like a predator hunting down it's prey. Not that I think I'd be able to with the pain I'm in, but at least I look intimidating, right?
As I got to the edge of the bed, I couldn't see anything, and the noise stopped.
Something lunged at me from under the bed and I fell face first to the ground. Within a second, I was pinned to the ground by a malinois puppy and being licked in the face. After I recovered from the intense make-out session, the puppy brought me a dress shoe from under the bed.
'That's what I heard! He's cute. Could we keep him? A wolf with a dog, that's so adorable!'
Well, I guess Freya's feeling better.
I sat crossed-legged on the floor with the puppy in my lap, still chewing on his shoe.
'He is adorable, right?' I stated while rubbing his head. I move my hand to rub his back and he drops his shoe, while he turns around for belly rubs.
My entire body is aching. The fact that I survived that crash is a miracle. That car came out of nowhere. I didn't see any lights, so he must have been drunk or something. Still, I am glad that I'm a hybrid, no other species would have survived that crash. Hybrids are generally stronger, but because I'm a wolf-witch hybrid, I'm even stronger. And faster. Overall, my senses are more refined, I move faster, my instincts and reflexes are better and faster. And I heal much faster.
"I'm glad to see that you're able to get up already." came a deep voice from the other side of the room.
I jumped, a bit startled at the sudden sound of a deep voice, and a bit confused as to how I didn't hear him enter. The puppy dashed in under the bed with his shoe in his mouth.
"Sorry, Revenna, I didn't mean to startle you." in an instant, he was beside me and I looked up into a pair of golden orbs, as the man kneeled beside me and offered me his hand.
As soon as my hand was in his, it hit me. There was a familiar jolt of electricity that shot through my body, originating from his touch, then I smelled him. Sandalwood, the same as Dylan, only stronger.
'Mine?' I barely hear Freya at the back of my mind.
'Our second mate...' I said back to her as I slowly stood up with the help of this gorgeous stranger. I stared at him in awe for a moment, unable to believe I had already found my second mate.
"That's right love." he said as his lips pulled up in a smirk.
