Daniel POV Her wolf is huge. I don't think I've ever seen such a large she-wolf. She might even be bigger than some Alphas. I wonder what happened to her earlier. I really hope she didn't reach the border, otherwise, I am done for... While she was off gallivanting, I set up a table under the trees, near the rose bushes in the garden. With a snap of my fingers, I made toast, eggs, bacon and some tea appear. I plucked a few rose petals and spun them in the air above her cup. Water dripped from the roses into her cup until the petals dried up and started to crumble into the cup as well. A quick stir, and all was good. I heard her approaching again and went to wait for her. She transformed back to her human form, but she was fully clothed. It felt like my eyes would pop out of my head at the sight. How? That shouldn't be possible. "Did you enjoy your run?" I decided to ask instead, forcing my eyes back into their sockets, and sticking to a small smile instead. "Yeah, I'm ready for breakfast now. You were quick." She stated while walking over to the table. "I didn't actually make it, but I made it appear." I saw her mouth an "Oh" while she took a seat. She looked up at me and lifted the cup, taking in the aroma. "Goddess, is this tea?" She asked with a purely disgusted look on her face. "Yes, it's infused with rose petals, to help you relax and rejuvenate." Just take a sip, dammit. "Ew, no. I hate tea. And tea with breakfast? Who does that?" She sounded like a spoiled little brat. Before I could say something else to convince her to drink it, she threw the contents of the cup to the side, and placed the empty cup on the table in front of me. This. Little. b***h. "I'd prefer mango juice please." She stated so nonchalantly while popping a piece of bacon into her mouth and leaning back into her chair. She didn't even give me time to snap my fingers before a glass of mango juice appeared in her hand. Her magic isn't matured enough, so she can't do magic on a whim like I can. She must focus and chant, so how did she do that? Revenna POV Daniel really outdid himself with breakfast. I picked up the cup of tea and took a deep breath, taking in the aroma of the rose extract. "Don't drink". The voice warned me. *Chuck it* "My thoughts exactly." "Goddess, is this tea?" I exclaimed with the most disgusted look I could muster. "Yes, it's infused with rose petals, to help you relax and rejuvenate." He responded while shrugging, then smiling back at me, like he actually cares. "Ew, no. I hate tea. And tea with breakfast? Who does that?" I didn't give him even a second to say anything else, before I threw the contents of the cup to the side. "I'd prefer mango juice please." I sat back, grabbed a piece of bacon from the plate and didn't waste anytime before eating it. I was hungry. I don't know who or what this thing is that is trying to help me, but it clearly has power, because I know Daniel did not conjure up that glass of mango juice that just appeared in front of me. I wonder if I'll be able to communicate with it in my room, or is it only in the woods? "How did she do that?" I heard his thoughts again. So he definitely wasn't the one who did the mango juice thing. *I think we should take a run every day.* Freya has a point: the more we communicate with this thing, the better. "Did Freya enjoy the run?" Daniel tried making conversation, but I really wasn't in the mood to talk to him. At all. "Yes, she needed to stretch and she enjoys the exercise. I think I'll let her run every day." I responded, while eating. "You, uh, you were able to change back fully clothed. How is that possible?" I raised an eyebrow at this question and he immediately blabbed to defend his enquiry. "Sorry, I just mean that, as my knowledge serves, when a wolf transforms back into a human, they aren't clothed. So I was just wondering." *Of course you were* I could feel Freya rolling her eyes. "Well, I am half-witch, so I can clothe myself as soon as my wolf turns." I hope he accepts that because I am not prepared to tell him that Freya was able to do magic. "Right, that makes sense. I didn't even think of that." He gave a nervous chuckle. Damn, Daniel actually is pretty hot. I might as well enjoy myself while trying to figure out what's going on. "Are you still mad at me?" He broke my thought, and I realized that I was staring at him. He looked so... innocent, somehow. The way he had one elbow propped up on the table while playing with his food with the other hand. He looked lost in thought at first, but as he looked up at me, he seemed devastated at the fact that I was mad at him. *He is really good at faking it.* Freya's right, I heard his thoughts, I know he's not being real with me. "Well then, we'll just have to see who's the better actor." I told Freya. I folded my arms across me chest and puffed up my cheeks. "Very much yes." I told him and looked away. "But, it feels like I can't stay mad at you for long," I said with a sigh and dropped my facial expression and my arms, while glancing up at him. His face brightened up, and he sat up straighter. "I'm actually glad to hear that. I was hoping to get to know my mate better. All of her." Daniel said with a deeper voice while literally checking me out. Goddess, how does his voice sound like melted chocolate? *Jeez girl, you need some action.* Uh-huh. I made a show of clearing my throat and shifting awkwardly in my seat. "First, I still have questions, and I really need answers. You have been able to make me feel special, sad, and mad, and I still have no idea who you are or where I am." I told him sternly. "You're right. Fire away." he leaned back in his chair with his cup of coffee. "So, where are we?" *Good start* Actually, I have no idea where to start. "We are in a secluded area of the woods, which the town's council declared as 'Unsafe for human use' thanks to my wonderful negotiation skills. I knew some people would still want to come here, because humans are stupid enough to wander where they are not supposed to, so I created a border around the property line. To humans, it looks like a cliff going down into an abyss, and if anyone tries to explore said abyss, they are captured in an enchantment that leads them away. I got some help from a siren, who did a song for me that captures the humans and then drives them away. All that they remember is almost falling into the abyss, barely escaping with their lives. We are on the borders of the town where your mother lives, so we aren't too far away." I was enticed by what he said. If wolves had such a border, we would be free and safe. No more hunters in our territory and no more rogues either. "Wow, okay, I did not expect that. Uhm, what's your last name?" I started enjoying the conversation, what he told me was so fascinating and so new to me. "Oh, I don't have one. My family believed that last names were a custom made up by humans to not confuse their families with others, because there are too many humans around. My real name is actually Ðæñ, but I thought that it would be weird to you, so I told you my name is Daniel, because it sounded close enough." He lifted his arm up to scratch the back of his head, and Goddess, was the gesture sexy as hell. "You will have to teach me how to pronounce that! It would feel weird to have to keep on calling you Daniel, now that I know it's not your name." He chuckled at me and leaned closer to rest his elbows on the table. "Okay. Use your tongue and your lips, and try to repeat after me, alright?" he genuinely looked excited to teach me his name. "Freya, can you try to open up a bit? I want him to disregard any suspicions that we blocked him out completely. *Oh, honey if only you knew what these lips and tongue want to do.* He instantly smirked when she said that. Gotcha. "There's my girl." He whispered in a husky tone. "Begin with a 'Dy', like saying die, but just shorter and with more accent on the 'ay', " he started to coach me, and I followed. "Dy." I mimicked the sounds coming from his mouth. "That was good. Next is a very short 'ah' sound, not just 'a'," "Ah!" I basically squawked, and he laughed. "That's still good. Finally, 'n-yay'. So say the 'n' by pressing your tongue to the top of your mouth, and just making the sound, don't actually pronounce the 'n', just sound it, and follow with a short 'yay' with an accent." "N. Yay?" "Now just put it all together. Dy-ah-n-yay. Ðæñ." He made it sound easy. Show time. "Dy-ah-n-yay." I was able to force out his creepy name in the most seductive tone possible. I stared at him for a moment, and with more confidence I tried again. "Ðæñ." I said while lifting my head up, showing him I was able to say it again, just as smoothly as he does. "Perfect." he whispered, while his gaze was fixed on my mouth. I licked my bottom lip, and grazed it with my teeth, before giving a smile. "Thanks. It wasn't really that hard." Emphasis on 'hard'.
