“Oh, my gosh, man!” Martin shouted excitedly while pointing to Vincent, “Although it’s a little sensational for you to say that, I like it!” “Vincent!” Thorne grabbed Vincent’s hand and lost his words in excitement for a long time. What a rare scene that a powerful president of a big group losing his manners after experiencing so much all of a sudden. “Vincent! You, you...” Thorne choked gradually, shaking Vincent’s hand hard, “You have no idea how hard it was for me to look for it...” “Then, just take it as... I found it for you! Otherwise, I wouldn’t have the chance to know you yet, Mr. Elliot!” Vincent smiled. “Okay! Okay! I’ll keep your kindness in my heart for a lifetime!” Mr. Grey also bowed towards Vincent for a while, admiring him. He also stroked his beard and smiled. “Don’t worry, Vincent. I won’t make it living in the shadow, I promise.” Thorne continued to caress the Iron Credential in hand with excitement. Vincent nodded, “It’s up to you, Mr. Elliot.” “Vincent, are you still short of money?” Martin asked as he turned to Thorne, “Here is something you don’t know. When I met Vincent two days ago, he was dismissed by a small clinic and couldn’t even pay his rent.” “What?!” Thorne seemed to realize something and searched all over. He took off some of his gold rings and groped his priceless briefcase. Mr. Grey did the same. In the end, Thorne stuffed his briefcase into Vincent’s hand, together with the things on his hand, “Vincent, just take these first. As for your rent... Oh no, no, just check out, and I’ll give you houses and cars. I’ll give you anything you need!” “Yes!” Mr. Grey echoed. “Hahahaha...” Martin smiled and shook his head. “What are you laughing at? If you have anything valuable, take it out now!” Thorne glared at Martin. “Alright, just stop it.” Martin shook his head, “He won’t want it.” As expected, as soon as Martin said so, Vincent held the stuff back to Thorne. “You don’t have to do this, Mr. Elliot. It won’t be necessary. The Quincy family has prepaid me 20,000 as my salary, and I’ve solved the rent problem, as well as other things. I still have thousands left.” “Quincy family? What Quincy family? What salary?” Thorne asked. “Oh, here is the thing.” Martin briefly introduced how Vincent cured Clare’s disease and became her matrilocal future husband or bodyguard. “Hahaha! I see!” Thorne smiled and patted his legs. “Given your ability, isn’t it grievous to be a matrilocal son-in-law? Just tell me what you need. I can give you anything!” “That’s not true, Mr. Elliot. I’m not a matrilocal son-in-law. I’m doing this just because Senior Mr. Quincy is very kind to me and I want to repay his kindness. Even if I’ll become his grandson-in-law one day, I won’t be matrilocal but do my best to marry the girl as my wife!” “Hahaha, yes, of course! You’ve made your point, man! Just remember that both Martin and I got your back! We can offer you anything except time!” “Hehe, okay, then. If I have anything in need, I will tell you. Wait!” Vincent stood up all of a sudden, staring at Thorne with his glistened eyes. “What’s wrong?!” Martin was stunned. “Mr. Elliot, are you the president of Elliot Industrial Group?!” Vincent shouted as if something just occurred to him. “Yeah! Didn’t I mention that to you before?! What’s wrong?!” The three of them were all in a daze. “What’s this for, Vincent? Is there any unpleasant history between you and the Elliot Group?!” “No, no, no! Mr. Elliot, is there a conference today in your group? The bidding conference for sewage treatment of the group?!” “Yes, how did you know that?!” Thorne couldn’t figure that out. “Oh! I... I just went to the antique firm with the Quincy family to buy something, and then we headed to your group to participate in the conference...” Vincent explained briefly how Matthew’s company was unprepared about the project, how they bought the antique and tried to please Thorne Elliot, and what had happened next to them. Chairman Martin and Thorne both laughed, “Is that so? You guys are really funny!” “Mr. Elliot, it’s not the right time to laugh. If you are here, how about the conference? Does it mean Uncle Quincy didn’t get time to meet you? Then, what about the conference?” “You are worried about them? What a good son-in-law!” Chairman Martin shook his head with a smile. Mr. Grey also stroked his beard and smiled. “Don’t worry about it.” Thorne waved his hand, “The managers are arranging and organizing the conference, but it doesn’t matter. They dare not make any decision if I don’t go back.” While talking, Thorne took out his phone and dialed a number, “Hello? It’s me! How is the conference going?” “So, you’ve got a target partner, right? Which one?” “Haha, I see. I’ll tell you what. Don’t make any decision yet. I’ll be back soon!” Vincent was nervous to hear that. Thorne nodded, put away the phone, and waved to Vincent, “Come, let’s go back to the group together!!!” “Ah? Oh, okay!” Vincent nodded, followed Thorne and Mr. Grey out of the bureau, got on the latter’s limo, and went to the group together. Chairman Martin, as a matter of course, went on with his own business and didn’t join them. “Don’t be nervous. We still got time.” Thorne patted Vincent’s hand. At the same time, he was glad to see that Vincent didn’t lose his manners when he saw the limo. This kid was indeed calm and restrained. Vincent nodded and then focused his mental energy on a pendant hanging in the car. It was a mutton fat jade sharing a similar size to a key ring, which looked smooth and glazed, being tied with a red string. There was a faint red light on the face of the figure on the jade, which made him feel an indescribable sense of peace. Vincent couldn’t help wondering why he felt that way. Out of curiosity, he performed his power on his eyes and looked toward the jade. Surprisingly, he saw an auspicious aura around it. Vincent was astonished. He had once seen bad luck on Clare’s mind, and now good luck on this? Was his power really impressive?
