Chapter 35 Being Stalked

“Can’t afford it?!” Lowrance suddenly sneered, “You mean you can afford it by taking it with you? Haven’t you heard that a common man’s only sin is to carry a jade? Aren’t you afraid?” “What? You are gonna steal it from us or something?!” Senior Mr. Quincy suddenly asked back seriously. “Haha, we dare not. But I’m afraid after he exposes it here, all people in the antique circle would know about it. At that time, before he could sell it, it’s more likely that he might get hurt because of it.” “So, you are saying that you can protect it well here?” Vincent sneered. “Of course. We got the best security team in our firm. What do you say? Now name it!” The three experts stood there silently, allowing Lowrance to threaten Vincent in that way and looking at the latter anxiously. The easy way or the hard way, Vincent didn’t buy it. He smiled grimly, “I won’t sell it. And nobody can take it from me unless I give it to someone willingly.” After speaking, Vincent turned around and left directly. “Hey, don’t go!” Matthew and Natalie followed him as they tried to convince him of something. “Grandpa!” Clare acted coquettishly and then circled Senior Mr. Quincy’s arm before they left. “What a shame!!” The three experts stamped their feet unwillingly, turned, and went in. Without noticing, Lowrance and Carl made eye contact secretly as if they had a conspiracy... “Vincent! What are you thinking?! You heard him? Tens of millions!” Matthew couldn’t help complaining when he got into the car. Vincent, however, sat in the front passenger seat silently, holding the Iron Credential in his arms, the brocade box as well. He treated it so casually as if it was some kind of a waste. “Matthew! Vincent has his idea on this. Just let him! Haven’t you seen tens of millions before? Don’t be such an impatient loser!” “Alright.” Matthew sighed and then nodded, “Fine, make your own choice! Hope it’s a good thing! I just didn’t expect...” Matthew shook his head with emotion. “Dad, where are we going now?” Clare asked. “Elliot Industrial Group! We still got business to do there,” Vincent said first. “I’m sorry, did I ask you anything? Don’t flatter yourself after getting the treasure! Hold it steady before you fall!” Natalie seemed to be unhappy for what had happened just now. “Nat, don’t be so rude! Can’t you tell what kind of a man Vincent is after so many things?” Senior Mr. Quincy shook his head and said to Matthew, “Matthew! You should go to Elliot Industrial Group! I am going home! Be safe!” Senior Mr. Quincy got out of the car as he said so and disappeared soon. “Where is Carl?! I didn’t see him coming out?!” Natalie suddenly remembered that one person was missing. “Forgot him! He got no sense of time as an adult!” Matthew was a little upset and started the car to Elliot Industrial Group. Anyway, they had bought a gift which was worth more than 180,000! They drove toward the Group at a fast speed, failing to notice three vans following them after a corner. In about ten minutes, Vincent suddenly shouted, “Stop the car!!” “Huh?! What’s wrong?” Matthew was confused. “Can’t you say it earlier if you want to use the bathroom? Do you have to stop us on our way to the Elliot Group?” Natalie rolled her eyes against Vincent. “You are wrong!” Vincent shook his head, “We are being followed!” “Ah~?!” Clare and Natalie were so shocked that they exclaimed and looked around immediately. “Behind us! Three vans have followed since we started!” Vincent said coldly. “Ah?!” Even though Matthew was in his middle age already, he had never experienced anything like this. He panicked and his hands couldn’t stop trembling. “Who are they?! Why don’t they catch up?!” Clare turned to look at the three vans behind and asked, “Should we manage to get rid of them?!” “That’s because we are here in the downtown area! Once we are out of the city and pass a remote section, they will definitely force us to stop! In here, it’s impossible to get rid of them! We should consider us lucky if there is no traffic jam here.” Vincent shook his head. “Are they from the antique firm?! They are so...” “Not necessarily! It could be other people in there who are jealous of us.” Taking a deep breath, Vincent said, “Stop! Let me get out of the car!” “What?” Matthew and the three of them were taken aback. “What are you doing?!” Clare shouted with concern. “You should go first. I’ll take it off the car and see what they really want?!” “Don’t do it! That would be too dangerous~!” Clare hurriedly shouted. Vincent turned around and smiled, “You care about me?” “I...” “My sister is afraid that you will abscond with the treasure!!” Natalie shouted. “Nat! What are you talking about?!” Clare patted Natalie on her shoulder. Vincent shook his head, having no idea why Natalie still held hatred against him and ruined his romantic moments from time to time. “If that’s what I want, at least I should sell it first. I won’t make it if I take it with me, alright?” Vincent was speechless, “I want to see what they are up to in the downtown area. This is the safest place, to be honest!” “Then let us join you on this. You are just an innocent and defenseless doctor. I’m afraid they will beat you to death!” Clare added. “Defenseless?” Vincent froze for a moment and then smiled, “Clare, you don’t know me well enough. Sometimes, I can be very defensive and strong.” Clare was blushed as she heard that and even trembled, while Natalie rolled her eyes again, “Asshole!” Uh, did they just misunderstand something? “Then what about us?” Matthew was a bit at a loss. “Uncle Quincy, you should go to the Elliot Group first, and I’ll join you soon!” Vincent replied, “Just do it. I won’t be able to... well, deal with them with you by my side.” “All right, then! Be careful!” Matthew enjoined him nicely, or perhaps he was worried about the treasure. “Crunch!” The car stopped. Vincent got out of the car directly. holding the brocade box. Then he patted the door, and the car rushed out again. In the last second, he saw Clare’s eyes full of concern and heard Natalie still complaining “Asshole, be alive”! Vincent was touched, but he got no time to enjoy it. Coming to the center of the road, he spread his hands in the front of the three vans. The vans stopped suddenly, and then about nine young men got off. They circled Vincent immediately. Among them, a man with yellow hair seemed to be their leader. He glanced at his phone first and then took a look at Vincent, nodding while saying, “That’s right! He’s the man we wanted.”
