The staff members were stunned, and then hurriedly in. After a while, three men either in their middle-age or later rushed out, panting. “Here, come here!” Lowrance greeted them hastily. They rushed over again and saw the debris on the ground, “What happened? It’s broken and you want us to assess the compensation fee?” “No, no, no, my fellow experts, look at this! It came out after the inkstone was broken. You know, the inkstone for free...” Lowrance pointed at the thing in Vincent’s hand. The experts were all startled for a moment, and then they looked toward the iron plate. Before anyone could finally take a breath, a middle-aged man wearing glasses shouted, “Alas, It’s a treasure! A treasure indeed! It’s the Iron Credential for Forgiveness! The one that the king rewarded to General Elliot thousands of years ago! Hahahaha!” The man acted as if he had gone crazy, clapping his hands while laughing out loud. The old man also joined his excitement. “He’s right! It’s the Iron Credential for Forgiveness!! I knew it!” “It’s created around the year 960! It’s authentic!!” “I didn’t expect it to be perfectly preserved!! It’s a national treasure, our national treasure!” “It should be placed in a special showcase even in the national museum!!” “Priceless, it’s a priceless treasure!! How lucky I am to witness it to be found! Hahaha!” The experts were all excited, and all the spectators around were amazed to hear what they had just said. “How is it possible that the Iron Credential just appeared? The young man!” Lowrance, however, was stunned silence as if he had been fed s**t. “Hahaha, Mr. Lowrance, our firm is going to be famous! It’s a great contribution!” “Keep it nice and easy! It’s going to be our firm treasure! A priceless and valuable collection!” “Come, lad, thank you for holding it for us for a long time! Now give it to me! Oh, my gosh, you didn’t even wear any gloves!” Out of excitement, the three experts weren’t aware of the situation yet, but the crowd was speechless to hear that. Vincent smiled at this time, pushing away their hands, “Sorry, it belongs to me now, oh, no...” Vincent looked back at the Quincy family and continued, “It belongs to us, the Quincy family!” The family members, however, couldn’t even believe their ears. “Huh? What do you mean?!” The experts were taken aback, and couldn’t help but look back at Lowrance. Only then did they find that the latter’s face went an ugly green. “It... belongs to him... already...” “What?!!!” The experts were startled, trembling while pointing to the ground, and then to Vincent and the Iron Credential. “You’ve sole it?! And given it as a gift for free?!” “Yes!!!” It was the first time that Lowrance hated the word that much and almost wished to bite his tongue as he said that. “It’s we who bought it!” Natalie claimed as she pointed to the tea set in Matthew’s hands. The experts couldn’t believe it, slapping their foreheads hard, “Oh, my God! What have you done?!” They yelled in regret. “You can’t blame me for that, experts. It’s you who evaluated it and confirmed it could be given as a gift?! None of us could foresee this...” Lowrance spread his hands in a low spirit. “Tell me about it. If you hadn’t sold it to me, I wouldn’t have smashed it and exposed the secret.” Vincent smiled. The three experts stared at Vincent fiercely and even startled him. Clare and Natalie came forward to protect Vincent, or perhaps the Iron Credential, “What are you up to? Rub it from us in public?” The three experts, however, ignored both of them but forced their gaze on Vincent, “Lad, could you please kindly tell us how you see through the trick?!” “You hear him, man, how did you figure that out?” The crowd also wondered. “Instinct. I’m sorry, but that’s all I can tell. Maybe I just smashed it to check out because it was claimed worthless. If it is worth millions, I dare not to do that! Then it would still be the ugly inkstone...” “Come on, man,” The three experts stopped him from saying more, “Just name it. How much do you want? We’ll give you as much as you want even if we have to offer you all we have!” “That’s not true! You got the firm as your support! Lad, please, just name the price, and we’ll buy it!” Lowrance added immediately, “500,000? One million?! Just name it!” All people at the spot, including the experts, stared at Lowrance as if he was an i***t, thinking to themselves, “Are you here to joke us around? 500,000? One million? Seriously? Have you got anything in your head?” As expected, the old man in Tang suit shouted, “Mr. Lowrance, you are losing the game this time! Aren’t you embarrassed to make such an offer? You are trying to fool him around! Lad, I can give you 10 million if you can give it to me!” Senior Mr. Quincy and Matthew were both astonished to hear so! 10 million? That was a big price to pay even for a business family like theirs. “I, I’m!” Lowrance was still trying to defend himself, but the experts stropped him, “Just shut up!” And then they looked at Vincent, “20 million! We can offer you 20 million, young man! Say yes and the money is yours right away!” “30 million! I can give you 30 million!” Someone among the crowd shouted, seeming like a rich guy. “40 million! I can offer you 40 million! I’m capable of affording that!!” The old man called again. The crowd was once again astonished. “Vincent, my grandson-in-law.” Senior Mr. Quincy looked at Vincent, waiting for his reply. Matthew was impatient, “Vincent! That’s a big offer! It’s 40 million we are talking about! We don’t even have to go to Elliot Industrial Group if we got that much money!” “That’s right!” Natalie couldn’t help urging him. “Dad, Nat!” Clare came out and comforted them, “Just let him make the decision.” “Why should he be the one who has the final say? It’s Uncle Quincy who paid for this, alright?” Carl finally regained his consciousness and interrupted them. “Oh, just shut up! What does it have anything to do with you?!!” Clare glared at Carl and the latter finally shut up. Vincent, out of everyone’s surprise, smiled at the crowd and said, “I’m sorry, but we’re not selling it to anyone.” Everyone was astonished. “Why? You think our offer is not good enough? Then name it! We can give you more!” The three experts couldn’t help yelling. “Yeah, name it!” Someone shouted. “I’m sorry! But I won’t sell it for anything!” Vincent smiled, “It’s a national treasure, remember? I can’t afford to trade it at my will!”
