CHAPTER 2 “You know that’s how you can catch a cold, right?” Eric chuckled, sliding a cup of hot chocolate towards her. “Cold?” She asked, tilting her head at him. “Uh, you know. When you get sick, and stuff.” He finally replied. Feeling awkward under her full attention. “Sick..” she mumbled under her breath. The girl then held the cup, taking a big gulp from it. Not any later did she spit it out in a hurry. “That’s horrible! Who would want to burn their tongue? On purpose!” She cried out. But Eric only smiled at her, as she looked at him feeling guilty. “I-“ “So this is what you’re doing?!” Sasha yelled. Eric only groaned as the girl only felt sadness take over her. Sasha however sneered at the girl. “You! How dare you disrespect the future Alpha.” She pointed accusingly at the girl. “I didn’t meant to, I-“ “Enough, Sasha.” Eric demanded. “I’m your mate! Your equal! But you rather have some omega spit beverages on you, then be with me!” Sasha yelled annoyed. Revealing her shoulder blade. Revealing a bit mark. “Oh no!” The girl seemed concerned as Eric snapped his attention towards her. All anger leaving him, as confusion took over. “Here.” She quickly placed cloth on her neck. “Is it helping?” She asked. But Eric couldn’t help it, he bursted out in laughter. Sasha only rolled her eyes, pushing the girl off of her. “Next time I see you together there will be consequences.” She scowled at the girl, before dragging Eric with her. ************ The next morning the girl woke up early. Listening to the music of the birds, intrigued by their sound. Then there was a loud bang at the door. And in bursted Polly. The daughter of the Luna and Alpha. “Hurry up, you’re going to be late for your talk with my father.” She explained frustrated at the girl. “Hurry up and follow behind. If you don’t keep up then that’s on you for getting lost.” She explained grumpily. The girl followed behind quietly. “Here.” Polly said to her father, pushing the girl in front of her. “Next time get someone else to fetch your mail. I have more important pack duties.” Polly grumbled. Turning on her heel and shutting the door behind her. “Sometimes that girl can really be a lot, but sometimes I also fear she gets it from me.” The Alpha chuckled. “Please. Take a sit, I just want to discuss a few things with you.” The girl obliged and found a seat in front of the Alpha’s desk. She gave him her full attention, just to show she that was listening. “Well, for starters I’m going to need to know who you are. Any little detail could help us take you back to your pack.” ‘Pack.’ The girl thought. “I don’t have a pack.” “What do you mean? Was it taken down by rogues?” The Alpha then flipped through his files. “That’s odd, I can’t seem to find any recent rouge attacks from any of the other packs nearby that resolved into severe damage.” “What did you say your name was again?” Then she smelt it again, the smell of rain and Woodstock. She couldn’t help but feel at ease. “Chandra.” The girl sighed out. “Chandra? That’s quiet a nice name.” The Alpha then began to type into his computer. “Now.” The Alpha turned towards her. “Can you remember anything about your old pack? Perhaps of what rank your wolf was?” “I don’t have a wolf.” Chandra responded. “What do you mean by that?” “Alpha there’s rogues attacking the south borders. They’re making their way into the centre.” The Alpha’s Beta bursted into the office explaining in a hurry.
