I couldn’t be any happier than I am right now. I am going to be a father. Our family will be complete. After the doctor left, I placed my hand on my mate’s stomach and smiled at her as I leaned down and kissed her forehead.
“Our pup,” I whispered in her ear. I was ecstatic. I couldn’t keep the smile off my face.
I looked deeply into the eyes of Megan and that is when I saw it. Concern, dread, fear. I frowned as I asked, “Are you not happy, Love?”
“You have to remember what all I have already been through,” She spoke in a tight voice.
