As we sat on the bench, watching the young pups playing, I saw a tear slide down her cheek and wrapped my arm around her in a hug. I feel her pain through our bond and know she is thinking of her son that she lost. I want so much to be able to make her happy again. I know it is too soon for her as she still grieves her loss. But how I desperately want to love her and make her feel loved. All I can do right now is to be here for her and let her know I care.
“I have had enough sightseeing today. May we go back please?” She asked me in a thick voice filled with emotion.
“Yes, of course, we can leave. Would you like to stop someplace for lunch first?”
“No, thank you, I just want to get back.”
I nod, “Alright, we will go back then.”
I stand and give her my hand to help her up then
