Chapter 36 - Things Don't Go As Planned

I awoke and I was startled to see Daniel sitting on a chair next to our bed and throwing daggers at me. I grimaced and sat up, looking around, it was still dark. Around 1 am. His features softened for a while.
"It's still early, Daniel. What are you still doing up?" I asked drowsily, running my fingers through my hair, feeling tired.
"Are you cheating on me, Alyssa Edwards?" He asked and I turned to look at him with a surprised look.
"What are you saying?"
