"Good luck, honey. Are you sure you don't want me to call them?" Daniel asked for the tenth time in the car but I shook my head.
"I can handle this, Daniel. Don't worry."
I was about to step out of his car but he stopped me.
"Do you want me to go and accompany you? I can wait till you're done so I can take you home."
"So that they'll notice that I'm with Mister Paterson? I know what you're trying to do but it won't work. When I say no, I mean it." He rolled his eyes at me with a groan.
"Why did I choose such a smart woman? I think that's going to create problems in the future. I hate being told no, Alyssa," He chuckled.
