CHAPTER FOUR
Scarlett’s heartbeat raced, making her nervous, seeing this man here for the second time. She got up from her seat as she watched Edward walked into the house to ascend the stairs.
“Welcome young boss” Madam Kate greeted but he didn’t spare any glance, talkless of responding. He walked to his suite with his two hands tucked in his pocket.
The door to his suite opened immediately his face was scanned at the door. He has a personal living room with a bar, a master bedroom, mini kitchen and his bathroom. He walked straight to the bedroom, opened a curtain that covers another small door. He used his fingerprint as access and the door opened. He walked into the secret room containing several computers, with different cables and connections and some weapons. This is a special power room he uses for special missions and purposes.
“Any information about my mother yet?” He asked, while standing.
“No traces of her” the robot responded in its programmed voice
“How long will it take you?! Or should I just switch you off!” Edward yelled angrily
“I’ve been checking the whole of Africa but no sign of ….”’ Edward switched off the power button angrily before the robot could finish and walked back to his bedroom.
His mind went to the fact of being married then he remembered something he wanted to do. He took his phone then dialed a number;
“Is the file ready?” He asked immediately the recipient picked.
“Bring it immediately” he said again before hanging up.

Cassidy was alone on the field, she was just coming from the training hall. She wants to keep training more and extra because she was tired of being sidelined among the gang members when they are going for an important mission.
She decided to go to Ace’s room to see him but as she got to his door, she stopped when she was hearing some sounds.
“Yea… right there… oww..” the b*tch kept moaning as Ace keep driving in and out of her without mercy, hitting her womb in the process.
“Harder! More! Yes!” Cassidy kept hearing more moans and her eyes were already getting misty. She stood straight to back the wall beside the door and let her tears flow.
The door opened suddenly and a slim blonde lady stepped out in her revealing cloth like nothing happened in the room. Cassidy looked back at the door and saw Ace standing there shirtless with only a short, giving her a questioning look. She quickly cleaned her eyes and faced him.
“Any problem?” Ace asked.
“I wanted to see you but I….” Her voice were shaky and another round of tears were threatening to fall.
“Maybe later” she managed to say before running off to avoid embarrassing herself in front of him.
She got to a quiet passage and sat on the floor to let her tears fall. She held her chest as she continued crying.
“My heart…. Why him?” she cried
“Looks like someone’s heart got broken” Minaj mocked as she walked passed her.
Cassidy quickly wiped her tears before running off to her room.
Sophie walked out of the lecture hall alone as she kept dialing Scarlett’s number over and over.
“Its been two weeks and she hasn't been in school” She muttered to no one in particular.
“Sophie!!!” she heard someone called her name, then looked back to see Vincent running to catch up with her.
“Hello Senior Vincent” she greeted
“Sophie, how is Scarlett? I haven't seen her in school for some weeks and she hasn't been picking her calls, Any problem?” Vincent asked, looking worried.
“I have also been trying to reach out to her but its same thing, maybe I will go to her house to check on her” Sophie responded.
“Alright then, please do and send my regards to her” Vincent said and walked to his car.
Sophie watched him as he left before calling her driver to come and pick her.
Scarlett has been in her room ever since Edward came back into the mansion. She was so nervous and dreading that she might run into him once she step out of her room. She checked her phone as she dropped the book she was reading and saw another set of missed calls from her friends and even her parents. She hasn't been in the mood to talk to anyone since the wedding and she can't even break the news to her best friend.
Her phone rang and it was Sophie calling again, then she decided to pick the call.
?”Scar, where have you been? I've been calling, texting but you ain't responding, I've been so worried! What's wrong? You haven't been to school and..” Sophie ranted over the phone
?”I’m fine best, I'm very good. Actually I was just taking a break unno, just resting” Scarlett shrugged
?”Resting? For two weeks? Are you sure you are not sick? Scar you’ve never missed a class before and now you… In fact, I'm coming to your house right now!” Sophie said
?”No… no.. no I'm fine! Actually I'm not at home right now. You know what, let me call you back” Scarlett hung up as she heard a knock on the door.
She stood up from the bed to go open the door and saw Madam Kate at the door.
“Madam Kate…” she said with a smile.
“You didn't come down for lunch” Madam Kate said giving her a knowing look and Scarlett sighed.
“Anyways, boss wants to see you in his study right now” Madam Kate informed her
“Why?!” Scarlett gasped
“He doesn't bite, come along” Madam Kate said, leading the way as Scarlett followed behind.
They got to a door and Madam Kate signaled her to go ahead before leaving her to go and do other things. Scarlett moved to the door and knocked gently. The door automatically unlocked, giving her access to step in.
She looked around the very big study, very up fuzzy and spacious. There were shelves with different books and they were neatly arranged, also a study table and two chairs were nicely placed at the center.
“Come in” she heard his cold voice.
He stood beside a shelf with a file in hand, he was going through the content and didn't look up until he finished what he was doing.
“Sign this” he said again, giving her the file he was holding.
“What's this?” Scarlett questioned.
