Ethan's POV
I never thought I would love to stare at someone whilst they slept. It feels so peaceful and amazing at the same time watching my beautiful mate sleep.
The good news is she's breathing. Bad news is I really drank a lot of her blood, thus she being unconscious and now asleep.
Another bad news is we never finished what we started after my blood thirst disappeared. I wonder how far we would have gone. I wanted her to scream my name as I gave her ecstasy over ecstasy.
Maa was right. I can never bring myself to hurt her.
I feel her move and I assume she's finally waking up. That's very good because I need her to eat and also apologize to her for my animalistic nature last night.
Her eyelids move but her eyes are still closed. I run my thumb over her cheek to feel the beautiful soft texture of her skin. Her shoulders move up a bit and I chuckle sending my attention to the bite mark on her neck. It looks deep but not too deep to tear her skin off.
In fact it almost looks like I marked her. I smile at the thought and run my fingers over the bite mark.
I redraw my hand to find her beautiful hazel eyes staring at me.
For some seconds we just lie there staring into each other's soul and I wish we could be like this forever.
"What time of the day is it?" She asks in her sleepy voice and I chuckle.
"It's late morning." I reply and she sighs pinching her brows.
She suddenly sits up and I follow suit still in my sweatpants. She realizes the sheets wrapped around her body then stares at her blouse which is far away on the marble floor.
I see her blush for some seconds before climbing out of bed with the sheets still wrapped around her.
I also get down and watch as she grabs her blouse from the floor then enters the bathroom.
She didn't look me in the eyes on her way to the bathroom. Maybe she suddenly remembers how scary I was, but she also blushed when she saw her blouse far on the floor.
Gosh what is she thinking?
I wait for Claire to walk out of the bathroom then dress before asking her to breakfast, right in our room.
She sits at the other end of the table far from me and I watch as she piles her plate with pancakes.
She looks so unbothered but then again she has food in front of her so nothing new there.
I unconsciously make my coffee whilst staring at her eat five pancakes which she never really does.
Her to go pancakes is a maximum of three.
She looks up at me and smiles making me forget myself again before eating her seventh pancake.
I bring my coffee to my lips then spit it back into the cup when I realize I put in too much sugar.
Claire looks up at me and I try to smile. She stands up and walks over to me then tastes my coffee and creases her forehead.
She knows I don't like too much sugar and that I'm also allergy to honey.
She takes a new cup and pours the remaining dark coffee into the cup before adding little sugar then begins to cream it up for me.
"You're making it awkward." She says staring into the coffee.
"Awkward?" I ask and she shakes her head.
She places the cup in front of me and I smile at her.
"Claire I'm sorry about last night." I blurt out and she looks at me confused.
I've probably misinterpreted it in her head.
"Not like how you're thinking." I calmly stand up and tower over her.
"And what do you think I'm thinking?" She questions with curious eyes and a bit of a tease in her voice.
"I should have given you a heads up before pouncing on you like that. I'm sorry if I scared you." She chuckles at my statement making me the confused one.
"You didn't scare me." She goes over to grab her plate and sits closer to me.
I slowly sit back down in my seat.
"I knew you weren't really yourself." She adds before drinking her orange juice.
"Well, I wouldn't really say that." I smile at her and she blushes a bit.
"I realized you wanted to feed, so I let you. I wasn't expecting the...other part to happen though." She says looking into her food and I chuckle.
One minute she's in control and the next she's all shy.
"Did you want me to take it far? If we could have." She looks up at me, surprised by my question.
She doesn't answer but the blush on her cheeks says it all.
"I have to go and show your mother the progress of my project." She suddenly changes the topic making me smile.
That's bad, a part two of last night could probably happen right now. In fact I want to continue where I left off with her. But this time I'll take it slowly and savor the moment since it's her first time with me.
"Sure." I reply and drink the coffee only to look back at her totally amazed.
She shakes her head at me whilst I gulp it down.
I always like her coffee but she rarely makes if for me.
