A little assessment

841 Words
Claire leaves to go and see maa and I decide now will be a good day to check on the guys' fighting skills. It's unexpected and unknown to them so I hope I'll get a good assessment on them. I mind link the guys to meet me in the private gym for some training. They drag their lazy a***s to the place 15 mins late making me wait for them. "Seriously dude, it's almost afternoon why the hell did you call us in for training?" Logan enters last with his whining mouth and I shake my head. "Good question Logan. I knew you would be the one to complain. And to answer that, I need to make sure you're all still up on your game." The rest of the guys turn to look at Logan annoyed. He smiles at them and they look away still annoyed. "Is it because of your recent assassination attempt?" Michael asks and I nod. If I was targeted what is to say any of them isn't next since I survived. I have to make sure they are still as strong as the positions they hold. "Is this where boredom landed you? Or you're really serious on training us because, nice pep talk but I'm gonna go back to sleep now." Logan says then turns to walk out. Amongst all three of them he's the most closest to me so I give him a pass for his stupid behavior at times. "Logan get your ass back here, last time I almost got killed you were fighting like a girl." I yell at him and he pauses. Lucas and Michael chuckle at him and he walks back to me looking annoyed. "No I wasn't, and you know that." He points at me and I try not to laugh. Actually he was, the Logan before the curse could kill a fair number of rogues close to my kill. "Prove it." I smirk at him and he smiles raising his fists. Well this is going to be interesting. * All three of them lie on the mat whilst clutching their chest and injured parts. We've been fighting for almost an hour and none of them was able to land a punch or scratch on me. I did mess up their faces pretty bad though, especially Logan's. "Come on guys, get up." I walk over them and help them stand. "S**t dude, I think you broke my nose." Logan says wiping the blood from under his bloody nose. "Lemme see." I walk closer to him feigning concern whilst checking his nose. It's broken alright but just to annoy him I flick his nose with my finger and he quickly pulls away cussing. We chuckle at him before he straightens his nose on his own. "I'm going to inculcate some early morning training into our daily routine again." They all groan except Lucas. "He's right." He says surprising me. "Any of us could be next. We can't transform, for now, that makes us easy targets. And we really have to up our game, especially after what happened, and with the luna around." I look at him proudly then stare at Logan who rolls his eyes. "Suck up." He says to Lucas and he chuckles. "It's getting to lunch time." Michael says looking at his phone then at Lucas. Business is always his number one priority but he's a good fighter though so I don't complain. "We have to go. See you at dinner." Lucas adds before they disappear leaving me with Logan. "You mind telling me what this is all actually about?" Logan raises an eyebrow and I shake my head. "It's just as Lucas said, you guys are the only ones I can trust to protect Claire and my mother when I'm not around, even permanently." Logan tilts his head at me a bit then nods. "And what was with that intense fight back there. It felt like you were super charged and energized. You've gotten stronger." Logan says as we walk out of the gym. "I think it has something to do with my mate's blood." His eyes instantly widen. "I thought you were going to wait. I mean it looked like you were going to wait." I shrug. "Yeah, things got out of hand." He creases his forehead but I chuckle and choose not to go on. "Sure. Keep all the dirty deeds to yourself. I don't want to be traumatized anyway." He rolls his eyes and I chuckle again. "Logan, have you noticed anything weird from my mother?" I stop walking and so does he. "No, I don't think so." He says after a while of contemplating. We continue walking when he suddenly stops again. "But, I remember that night at the hospital when I told her what happened. She looked pretty furious. It was the first time I saw her like that." He adds making me think to myself. Why do I have a feeling my mother is up to something? Something she is hiding from me.
