Claire's POV
The doctors take two units of blood from me before sending it off to Ethan.
They also advise I go home and rest since they took more blood than the average human being.
I choose to ignore their advice since I still haven't seen Ethan, and I'm not going anywhere until I see him.
Everyone already saw him whilst I was donating the blood and now that I'm done with that I ask to see him too.
The nurses take me to a very private floor on the building before they leave me in front of a room.
I nod a thanks to them before entering the huge first class hospital room.
Though the interior, gadgets, view and everything is exquisite I can only focus on my mate.
I slowly approach his bed though I know he's unconscious and can't hear me.
I reach him and my heart also sinks upon seeing him.
He has a breathing tube down his throat and his face is very pale too.
Thankfully the beeping of the heart monitor makes me feel a bit better because it reminds me that he's still alive.
I join our fingers together before my soul and body really feels at ease.
I move some strands of hair from his face and place a kiss on his forehead before smiling down at him.
Suddenly I feel him tighten his grip around my hand and I look at him shocked and relieved, but he doesn't open his eyes.
I assume maybe he feels my presence and his body is just reacting to it.
"Please wake up, you have to wake up." I whisper before wiping a stray tear from my face.
I kiss him on the forehead again before exiting the room with some weight lifted off my shoulders.

Two days pass by and Ethan is still unconscious. The doctor says he's improving but I can't really see that except for some of the color returning to his face.
I continue to be in his presence reading him books and chatting away hoping he'll wake up.
Logan is now feeling better and is managing everything with Lucas in Ethan's absence.
The queen is carrying on with her duties as usual to avoid any suspicion of Ethan's condition being serious.
I mean the humans think he had some minor health issue which has cause him to recline. And the werewolves, well they also don't know what actually happened and that's what Logan and Lucas are trying to avoid, as the queen and Michael deal with all royal issues including Ethan's.
Katherine also tasked to me look after him. She exempted me from working or helping her and basically order me to stay by Ethan.
I don't mind that at all, but I just hope she doesn't over work herself.
The doctors have now taken four units of blood in total from me but so far the side effects of giving too much blood hasn't set in.
I read the news to Ethan so that hopefully if his hearing is still working it would be like he hasn't missed anything.
Suddenly my eyes leave the news paper to the bag of blood connected to my mate.
Let's just hope he doesn't get mad at me.
I hear a knock on the door before Lydia peeks her head in.
I smile at her before she walks over to me.
"It's time to change over, and before you say anything, no, I'm not going to let you stay the whole day like you've been doing for the past two days." She complains and I try not to laugh.
"You need to rest Claire, Ethan is going to be okay. And if you ask me he'll get pissed when he finds out you weren't resting because of him."
She makes her usual failed attempts to get me to change over and I shake my head smiling.
"I'm okay Lydia, and I seriously don't mind." I speak as I stand but in doing so the room starts to spin and I hold onto something for support.
Lydia rushes over to me concerned.
I wave her off to show her that I'm okay after she helps me sit.
"Enough is enough Luna, you have already given four bags of blood. If you don't allow this change over then I'm telling the queen." She starts on a concerned note but ends with a threat.
"Lydia I said I'm fine, I've just been sitting down for a while that's why I got dizzy." I explain to her but she doesn't buy it.
"Just go back to the castle, have something to eat and rest, I promise to take care of him." She says, her voice laced with more concern.
I look over at Ethan for a while before turning to Lydia.
I just want to be by his side, is that too much to ask?
Sitting down the room begins to spin again and I close my eyes to massage my temples.
Maybe I should just give in this once.
"Okay, fine." I say and she looks at me very glad that I finally accepted her help.

I arrive back at the castle with a heavy escort as compared to the other times I went out.
I walk into the castle trying to hold my composure and pretend as if the whole world isn't spinning.
I continue to massage my temples as I approach the stairs, not paying any attention to anyone around me with my eyes closed and my head bowed.
Out of nowhere a wall appears and I bump into it hard.
Well I thought it was a wall until I look up to see Arthur looking down at me.
He holds me to prevent me from falling and I quickly back away from him.
"Sorry." I clear my throat and try to walk away but he blocks my path.
"Why are you in a hurry?" He says and I try not to roll my eyes, mostly because I'm dizzy.
Honestly I'm not in the mood for him, so I just stay silent hoping that will be my ticket to be able to walk away.
"You're coming from the hospital, right? How is he doing?" I try not to chuckle at the fact that he's feigning concern for Ethan right in front of me.
"He's fine Arthur, he's recovering,.... unless you don't want him to." I glare at him with my last statement and he moves back chuckling.
Right now I'm not happy talking to the one person who will benefit most if my mate was to die.
"Don't tell me you also think I'm behind this." He says with a bit of hurt in his eyes.
"I don't know what to think, Arthur, and I most especially do not know what you are capable of." He looks at me a bit disappointed.
"Fair point, but I still didn't do this to my cousin." I look away from him not buying it.
"You're the future queen, before you make any assumptions about me, how about you find some solid evidence first." He says rather annoyed and walks away from me.
I sigh both annoyed and frustrated before ignoring his comment.
